The movie drew heavily from the Platform Sutra up until right after Huineng wrote his verse, then the filmmakers started taking a lot of artistic liberties. There was no battle with the robbers, and no gratuitous martial arts duels. No romance/unrequited love subplot with a hunter. It started following the Sutra again toward the end.
"Bodhi is immanent in our Essence of Mind, And an attempt to look for it elsewhere is erroneous. Within our impure mind the pure one is to be found, And once our mind is set right, we are free from the three kinds of beclouding (defilement, evil karma, and expiation in evil realms of existence)." - from the Formless Stanza, Sutra of Hui Neng

My grandpa taught me dhyan and ancient Hindu and Buddhist scriptures..He also taught me how Dhyan was exported to China and Japan. We meditated together. Liked the documentary. We have many stories of zen patriarchs

每次看到結局部份都忍不住流眼淚 打著這幾行字也是眼眶泛淚 🙏 感恩六祖留下這些寶典給我們眾生。
大家一起來修行致自己的心日趨平靜😊🙏
仁者：財色名食睡。色聲香味觸法。喜怒哀樂愛惡欲。都是境界風。本來無一物何處惹塵埃。🙏心在動處修不動。
六祖是我邻县新兴人，去过二次新兴六祖庙，二次韶关南华寺
慧能大師 ::【一切爭端的生起，矛盾的產生，都是源自於我們自己本身的內心，對不同價值取捨的結果】
這段話 很棒，倘若能懂得運用這段話，
或許世間的爭端、煩惱、阻饒、傷害、損失 會有所減少。
而我能想到的，我不想遇到爭端，故此，當我遇到了 與我認知、想法、定義 不同者，
在合乎於理的基礎上，動之以情、行之以法 來調整自身對事件上的原有做法。
舉個例子:A說 藍黨 不好， B說 綠黨不好， 時逢選舉，於是A跟B 因此爭吵不休。
於我而言，A跟B爭吵 這件事 於我既"無損失利益" 也"無增加利益"。
那麼我會避免被 A跟B 的爭吵 所影響牽連，我這樣做 可以說是滿足了 情理法 對吧!?
但 如果換個角度想，A與B 是基於 對政黨的認知與價值 的差異而爭吵，
所以從爭吵來看，可以得知 對於 "政黨的價值" 是不同的 (註: 真如慧能大師所言)
倘若 A跟B 能夠將 基於政黨而起的爭吵事件內容
用【客訴】的態度去處理，訊息只要有傳遞的動作，那麼能處理訊息的單位就有機會接收到訊息，並且去作出相關處理。
這樣的舉動， 在日常生活 不難見到吧!???? 那麼，為何客訴 服務業 好像很容易， 客訴政黨 卻變成了另外一回事。??
而我天真的認為，對於公家私人機關團體單位，很多時候都只是【不知道】情況，所以才沒改善、才沒進步、抑或是改善不良、調整不盡理想。
以至於產生了【不滿】，所以，若是有人願意把爭吵的時間與力氣，用在告知能"處理問題的單位" ，讓其單位能知曉問題 以外，如果又能順帶給出 針對問題所配套出的解決方式，
那這樣是不是比較有意義與建設性 對吧!!?? 因為我的想法是， 與其只有謾罵、心生不滿、那是沒意義的，我相信 多數人會跟我有這樣的想法如下::
就像有人在旁碎念叨嘴，此時心中會想碎念撈叨者，為何不出力去幫忙完成事件，這樣不是能讓事情更快完成、產生更好的結果嗎??
總好過 兩個不相干的人 在討論著 看似有關連 有影響卻不深重 的 【事件】，大多都只是為了在當下能抒發情緒而已吧。
冷靜想想，你的鄰居在考慮要養狗還是養貓，結果你和家人或是其他鄰居在討論說 養狗的狀況 跟 養貓的狀況，甚至特別著重於對於貓與狗的喜好程度。
但，對於鄰居養狗養貓.... 是不是只要討論 鄰居的養貓養狗 是否會造成我們與其他鄰居的困擾 就好，甚至於 也可以 避免 鄰居養了貓與狗以後 會ˋ造成困擾，
也可以先前跟鄰居說，為了避免 日後造成 自己與其他鄰居的困擾，所以能否再養狗養貓前，多一分心思， 把是否會造成"其他人的困擾或損失" 也放在養狗養貓的衡量中。

看到有人在比較台灣跟大陸版本的好壞。
我覺得這種電影，本身就是做佛心來著，資方應該不會想靠這個賺大錢。
台灣版本，在描述獵人隊生活的片段，改編得很好，印象中壇經是沒有這一段的。
除了強調惠能大師慈悲，還利用將肉放在嘴邊卻不吃，來闡釋不是風動，不是幡動，而是心動的佛理。
記得當時我還小。我看到這裡時，電影刻意停頓了5秒，我心中是看到慧能大師是很痛苦地吃下肉來解決衝突。
現在回想起來真是慚愧。
大陸版本也有它可取之處，這一版本避開了台灣版的神通，法力。
壇經內文雖然也有神通的部分，如陳惠明求法那一段，是一種隱喻手法。
無論如何，我覺得弘揚佛法時，應該要盡量減少強調神通，而是修心。
大陸在改編台灣版本，就拿掉了神通這一部分，用慈悲心來感化強盜。
做到”即便我不使用神通，我亦可弘揚佛法”。
想起了周星馳的西遊降魔篇，年輕三藏法師跟胖子師父哭述著他無能為力救小女孩。

菩提自性本來清淨 但用此心直了成佛。
不思善 不思惡 此刻那個是你本來面目。
念念無間是功，心行平直是德，自修性是功，自修身是德。

達摩為何最後會傳衣缽給慧可？莫以世間色受想行識境界為滿足為真（真上還有更真、天外還有天）人氣指數為導向，愈低的境界虛假、偽裝、有名無實者愈多，愈容易信以為真而累積自己的愚癡迷信業障（病毒才會燒那麼久）要有方法（四聖諦）循序漸進，平等無差別覺觀世間一切色受想行識，學好一法才能捨一法再進階二法…而非還沒學走就學飛，還沒脫離惡道就妄想升天、極樂、沒修正法就捨棄正法、牽就迷信非法，那永遠也到不了解脫彼岸。
就算不想禪修，最起碼也要相信因果報應、相信六道輪迴、相信有阿羅漢佛弟子們已跳出輪迴之外不用再回來陪我們在底層空間受無窮盡輪迴之苦了，不癡、不迷信，不錯把六道輪迴內看到聽到的一切無常當成唯一信奉的言行準則，反增無明業力，最後都還要勞煩高維眾生不斷打救，而生出更多更大的無明、迷信，陷入永無止境的惡性虛空苦海無常循環之中難以脫身。要學那些跳出輪迴之外的阿羅漢留下的智慧才是真是實是最高智慧。
讓我很感動的就是五組弘忍大師傳法於六祖慧能大時的那一刻!~~

@@tawidwidkasit-an6930 Thank you for your reply. Sakyamuni Buddha's teaching instructs us how to differentiate impure mind from pure mind. Essence of Mind is non-dual: the pearl beyond price. Dual dragons of pure and impure endlessly chase it but can never catch it.

另外有时我想，不论什么宗教，只要是教导人向善，创造一个没有尔虞我诈，勾心斗角，自私自利的社会，才是最重要的。
