  • Tramways in Basel (2) Line 10 Baselland Transport (BLT) (2/3) Basel - Rodersdorf
The Line 10 of the Baselland Transport (BLT) network is a meter gauge Tram-Train from Dornach-Arlesheim to Basel then Rodersdorf (26 km).
Line 10 is an international linz as it passes through French territory for two miles at the commune of Leymen in Haut-Rhin (Alsace).
This video was recorded on 23 April 2024. There was big works in center of Basel and also at Binningen where the work was to add a second track. On 23 April 2024 it was the first day of reopening of this part of the line after some days of closure.
During the work in the center of Basel the Line 10 was separated in two sections:
    - Dornach - Basel-Aeschenplatz (see video 1/3)
    - Basel-Schifflände - Rodersdorf (see videos 2/3 and 3/3)

Thank you for an interesting video of a line I have travelled on several times. On the first occasion it was a blue narrow gauge train starting from a station near the Heuwaage tram stop. I am disappointed that you did not make the important point that at the times of filming, BLT line 10 was split in two. The 'half' in this video was running from Schifflande to Rodersdorf.

I did not finished to updated the informations of the videos. They are updated now.
In video 2/3 I took the tram at Barfüsserplatz and not at Schifflänge that is why you don't see it but Schifflänge is displayed on front of the tram as the final destination of this section.
