Although Serena beat her handily most of the time, you can tell she really respected her and knew she had couldn’t give anything away. Hope Aga is enjoying her life after tennis. She seemed like a nice person. 👏🏾
Serena played against Hingis, so Radwanska wasn't an issue for her...at all. What people fail to realize is that Serena has the most sharp and craziest angles on tour but that fact was overlooked due to her power. However, opponents, fans, and opponents overlooking that fact is what gave her the upperhand. Serena was an angle Goddess. I see shots by her that I've never seen any male or female replicate.
AGA RADWANSKA WAS A CLASS ACT. SHE USED THAT RACKET LIKE A SURGICAL INSTRUMENT. I BELIEVE SHE HAD MAGICAL SHOTS AND WAS ONE OF THE HARDEST WORKERS IN WOMEN'S TENNIS. I BELIEVE SHE, VENUS, & VIKKA WERE THE BEST RETURNERS AGAINST SERENA.

Definition of a mismatch. Not only could Serena hit Radwanska off the court, but she knew how to use the angles of the court and had enough variety to keep Aga uncomfortable. Aga couldn’t use her array of shots, simply because Serena wouldn’t let her.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that the whole point of the game? Use your skills to take advantage of every opportunity to win?
@@jobuck879 I know that. I was just pointing out how, in my opinion, Serena was able to outplay Radwanska in every aspect of the game. Some will try to reduce Serena’s game to brute strength, but this matchup proved how it was so much more.

Just for your clarification. Even though Serena is biologically women, she had that man physique in her. Black Americans men or women are very strong human beings. So having said that any normal women cannot beat a man. Iga on the other hand has a normal girl like physique.

Serena was so mean to Aga in the Istanbul 2012 match. LOL She knew Aga had played 3 long round robin matches and was exhausted so she intentionally kept points longer and ran her ragged.

Radwanska was good.
I believe Radwanska would have thrived in the 80s and 90s, but in the 21st century being skillful wasn't enough. You had to be powerful and athletic as well. That's why Henin thrived, and Martina Hingis faded away in the 2000s. Serena is highly skilled and would have thrived in any era.

@theire483 Graf had an incredibly powerful forehand, but her backhand wasn't powerful. Monica Seles was the 1st to hit powerful shots on both sides. I admit both played a big part in the development of power tennis, especially Monica Seles. But the truth of the matter is Davenport and the Williams Sisters took it to a whole new level in the late 90s in to the 2000s. Almost every top player of the 2000s had power unlike the 90s where only a few were powerful. 14-17 year old Capriati was one of the most powerful players in the 90s, but 25 year old Capriati wasn't even in the top 5 most powerful in 2001. Monica Seles has even said in an interview with Chris Evert that the Williams sisters and Davenport hit harder than her.
@@kofipokuantwi-boateng5446 agreed. The same two Davenport and Evert also said of Serena... (Because some say Graf was the better player) That they don't care how many titles she won. The biggest threat Graf had was here forehead, and quickness, that if you could avoid that forehand you had a chance. But, of Serena they said, it doesn't matter where you place that ball, you are in the danger zone anywhere on that court. Serena is a bette all around player.
Absent her sickness, and injuries (and Serena) Venus is still in that top 10.
Capriati was a great player too. I think she played even better at her comeback
