This is the most stylish battle I have ever seen. The DT transformation, the evasions, the timings, the use of the devil breaker combined with the talk. SO PERFECT.
The Dante battle is more difficult, but it is really similar to the DMC3 battle in structure, probably as a statement about the rivalry never changing. The Nero battle is pure catharsis.
For me, they are at the peak of what they wanted to show. Dante vs Vergil in DMC3 had a ton of symbolism, from Dante learning to accept his demonic heritage while still having his humanity while Vergil seeing his human side as just a weakness while battling in the between the demon and human realms, the worlds they are part of. This is battle is more Nero's resolve of stopping the brothers from killing each other over nothing while having to come to terms with his long lost father, making Vergil recognize him the only way he would understand, with power.
Yeah, just like in the days of DMC4 where you could Buster / Devil Buster the final boss Sanctus if he was diving right at you with Sparda. The best part about that, is if it is the final blow, there will be a triple take of the Devil Bringer punch with Nero saying jackpot. So as the punch lands, Nero will say “Ja-Ja-Jackpot”.
Their was soul in this fight. I felt raw regret and sorrow in this battle. All he wants is acceptance from his own dad. Even after all that has happened. Music, dialogue, and over style was perfect. I tip my hat to you.
Was that the normal r2 grab? (Devil trigger was activated after the grab right?) Can you help me with the timing? It is hard to tell when exactly the button was pressed
Raphael Wolke Nero’s Buster counters are always last second. You need to press R2 right as he’s about to hit you. You don’t need to DT to do that one. Only the doppelgänger one needs DT
Raphael Wolke you’ll probably find at first you do it too early. That was my issue. But once you get it you’ll have a feel for when to do it and you can do it on the fly

This boss fight has so much going on for it and in it. It's amazing to watch, but it's not til you've played it and been spanked a few times by ol Mr motivation himself til you start to grasp the little nuances and patterns. Literally my favourite end boss of ANY game, let alone a devil may cry game. Made only better by the investment in the story involved. 10/10 JACK...POT!
Of all the videos of this battle that I have seen, none resembles this, some seek perfection by doing it without taking damage, and others are pitiful, dying every so often. But this video, This battle is incredible and impressive, in this video, the true heirs of Sparda appear.
The only issue I take with this boss is the fact that you can't use Nero's DT mid combo like you can with Dante. Though, you can start a combo with it.

Ark Project Yes which is also why Nero is so strong. Since demons gain strength from human blood, half breeds may essentially be inifinite fountains of power for themselves and Nero would have even more juice than Dante or Vergil

If you grab him WITHOUT locking on and at the right time, You'll succeed on grabbing Vergil mid-charge.
