    First - thanks the teacher for these lessons. ...but - secondly - am I really the only one who sometimes don´t understand what our teacher says? (I mean English pronunciation). I wouldn´t like to offend our teacher, but I think many thai learners here are not native English speakers, so for us is sometimes quite difficult to comprehend

    ครูครับ ขออธิบายประโยคนี้หน่อยนะครับ "ทอแสงสีทองออกมาเรื่อเรือง" เรื่อเรือง แปลว่าอะไรครับ ขอบคุณมากๆนะครับ

    • @rabbieburns2501
      @rabbieburns2501 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In English roughly translated (by me, anyway) it reads as "Gold coloured light is emitted/ comes out of the story of the boat." - that is a loose word for word literal translation, i'm sure the actual Thai translation is better/more beautiful.

    • @slicker67
      @slicker67 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      เรื่อเรือง, something like “a faint glow”. It sounds a bit poetic to me :) “Story of the boat” would be เรือเรื่อง, different tonemarks...
      Btw, I would use ช่วย instead of ขอ in your original question:
      ขอ…หน่อยได้ไหม = Can I …please? -> ขอ is used to ask for permission for you to do something
      ช่วย…หน่อยได้ไหม = Can you ... please? -> ช่วย is used to politely ask someone else to do something for you

    • @johnheng1040
      @johnheng1040 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rabbieburns2501 Its a sentence from มานีมานะ. So maybe thats why it sounds poetic and obsolete I guess. But i dont have a Thai teacher. So I have no idea which words can or cant be used in colloquial Thai. Thank you for taking the time to explain! Very much appreciated ❤

    • @johnheng1040
      @johnheng1040 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@slicker67 Thank you my friend. I feel like I need more sentence structures like this. Oftentimes people say that my Thai is either too polite or old sounding. ☹

    • @SpeakThaiEasy
      @SpeakThaiEasy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @jaylow C เรื่อ with tone mark "mai eg" it is not เรือ(boat) these 2 words are different. เรื่อ means fade in เรือง means a bit orlf light like in the morning time when you have sun. So when you combine every words in the sentences means the( sun) is giving a little gold light color slowly.(fade in ) (Imagine in the morning you look at the sky when the sun rise step by step the sky become gold when the half sun come)

    You are doing good but ....If you are teaching you need to slow down and establish the phrase, tell us what they mean and then add anything else you want, but you are jumping a little from one phrase to another meaning. If I taught my College students like this I would expect them to not understand every thing I say.

      It is worth jumping between different teachers. I don't know how advanced you are but this is not really a basic lesson. A lesson like this is good if you already sort of know what it is about but are trying to cement it in your head. I have been studying for years but only really found out about 'kae' lately. She is cute and fun. A lot of the other TH-cam teachers annoy me.
