    Useful advises!
Maybe another pretty basic advice: improve your musical skills. Having a well-trained ear and an ability to improvise even without thinking about it, will help you to notice and cover-up any mistakes at once.
Knowing that you have this ability is good for your self-confidence: you know there is almost zero chance that smaller mistakes develop into disasters.
(Of course, to be able to do this, you need also to master the songs you are supposed to play, so good preparation is important too.)
And the more self-confidence you have, the less nerves you have, even in front of big groups - at least, in my experience.

Performing a public performance for a library, only myself playing solo, just like that kind of talk show band, pretending to be calm, and then not watching any audience, I can’t say it’s a bad performance, I just know that I’ve been playing something. , But it’s true that my hands are shaking a bit, but I have never vomited. Hahahaha

I make mistakes when playing but It never gets the best of me. Playing for church has made me a better person especially when facing a larger audience. Mistakes are bound to happen even the pros makes mistakes and sometimes anxious but the more you play for people, the less anxious you get and as time goes by,you build confidence

Thank You for sharing you testimony My Brother. You are so right when you say that music is how we express ourselves. I agree you when you say that the less you think about your mistakes, the faster you can recover from them. This video is very helpful! 💯

I have autism and fear of groups. It makes me isolate myself. Piano is my way of expressing myself but im performing I lose the feel. I hope one day to get over it.
Like when in traffic, I also get overwhelmed , then I listen to the rosary on TH-cam to keep focussed. im looking for some ritual like that when performing :)

Yes, my step-son has autism, so I totally understand, he’s 13 years old. You just have to little rituals and triggers to help you stay calm and focus in these situations

@@PianoLessonwithWarren thanks for your kind reaction! If anyone has had any experience advice on those little rituals I d be real delighted to learn. I do have autism trainers but they are not musical or creative so performance anxiety is not in their field of expertise. I usually shut the audience out to focus but then musically I disconnect with other musicians. I used to be at level beginning conservatorium but now not anymore because of my anxiety. Anyway, thanks Warren McP for your reaction and your TH-cam channel and have a nice day!

Also, no science can explain about doing a lot of performances on the stage like you did hundreds of time that significantly manage anxiety.
    Very good explanation ✌🏼

I Can Only Remember One Time That My Mind Drew A Blank During A Performance But I Actually Got Anxiety When I Saw A Great Pianist I Knew That Completely Forgot And Never Recovered, Doing Her Senior Recital.. It Terrified Me So Bad That A Couple Of Weeks Later I Did The Same Thing🙄
