i love how he emphasizes the similarities between Islam and Buddhism instead of the differences. we are one human race and we must love each other.
And I shall not worship that which ye worship.
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion.

A Bedouin gave a pledge of allegiance for embracing Islam. The next day he came with fever and so came to the Prophet, saying: "O Messenger of God! Cancel my pledge." The Prophet refused. He came to him again and said: “Cancel my pledge”. He refused. He came to him another time and said: “Cancel my pledge.” He refused again. The Bedouin then went out. Then the Messenger of God said: “Madinah is exactly like a furnace; it expels out the impurities and retains the good." (Muwatta 1377)

    Surah 60 , Verses
    8. Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah loveth those who are just.
    9. Allah only forbids you, with regard to those who fight you for (your) Faith, and drive you out of your homes, and support (others) in driving you out, from turning to them (for friendship and protection). It is such as turn to them (in these circumstances), that do wrong.

The prophet peace be upon him said: "Be different from the non-Muslims, let your beards grow and trim your moustache".
So it's a direct command , and the men who really love prophet Muhammad peace be upon him they follow him step by step , just like his companions ,and those who love the western standards the follow it step by step ..

When you read the Quran try to read with deep thinking as brother Nandu Parado said. now, i try to answer to your questions as i can Inshallah. 1. We need not any propoganda. it is our responsiblity to tell about Islam to others as far as humans can choose their ways independently. 2. the contenst of Islam may be unpopular for some western people, but believes in our hearts are strongest Alhamdulillah.

Again, this is a Genuine inquiry. Why some of text is written in black & some in red? is it to indicate OT or NT? The reason I gave you these two inquiries, because you've quoted Luke 4:7, and I usually check few verses before and after the referenced verse, in attempt to reach some coherence of the Chapter in whole. You have indicated that "Worship me" is a word of Satan. Do you mean no one should worship anything because Satan said it? Luke 4:8 Satan said "WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD", not ME??

Can you ask the same question to Prophet (pbuh) and His companions on the day of judgement?

  • @deanasad
    @deanasad 11 ปีที่แล้ว

Thank you for the reply. Yes, I am a Muslim. I am a still bit confused about Luke 4:8; who said to the other "Thou shalt worship The Lord Thy God"? Jesus to Satan or Satan to Jesus? The reason I am asking, because in the Bible (King James Version) the preceding sentence is written after "Satan: For IT IS WRITTEN...), notice there is a colon (:) there after Satan, which makes me (and any reader) think that it's Satan who is saying. Please clarify. Also, what is it "IT IS WRITTEN", please clarify.

    Narrated by Anas bin Malik
A Jewess brought a poisoned (cooked) sheep for the Prophet who ate from it. She was brought to the Prophet and he was asked, "Shall we kill her?" He said, "No." I continued to see the effect of the poison on the palate of the mouth of Allah's Apostle.

Can you explain this verse to me: (Luke 4:8) "And Jesus answered and said unto HIM, get THEE behind me, Satan: for IT IS written, THOU shalt worship The LORD THY GOD, and HIM shalt THOU serve." (first, accept my apology for writing some words after Satan: in lower case) because I want you to explain to me WHO is referred to in the words I left in Upper Case (HIM, THEE, THOU...etc). I honestly do not understand the references belong to whom. And also explain to me what "IT IS" that was written?

I phrased that wrong. The Quran says were only allowed to kill in self-defence if a people invade our land, strip us of our religion and try to enslave us. And even then were encouraged to try and avoid killing if we can.
Manslaughter in self-defence is also allowed according to the Bible, and Australia law. I'd say the Quran is perfect for todays time.

    Volume 3, Book 48, Number 821 :
    Narrated by Anas
The Prophet was asked about the great sins He said, "They are:-- (1 ) To join others in worship with Allah, (2) To be undutiful to one's parents. (3) To kill a person (which Allah has forbidden to kill) (i.e. to commit the crime of murdering). (4) And to give a false witness."

Muhammad(p.b.u.h) never said kill the disbeliver and yes he was a Warrior, but a Warrior in Islam is not the one who wrestles the evil outside of him , but the evil within him and the evil emanating from him.
The Islam description of a Strong man is not one who wrestles another man to the ground , but the one who controls ones anger.
Islam propagates that "The one who angers you conquers you".
The definition of warrior that you gave is from the books of the Roman Empire. Islam came to change..

The individual letters in the beginning of some Surahs are among those things whose knowledge Allah has kept only for Himself. Some scholars have the opinion that the wisdom behind mentioning these letters in the beginning of the Surahs, regardless of the exact meanings of these letters is that they testify to the miracle of the Quran.
Every Surah that begins with these letters demonstrates the Quran's miracle and magnificence, and this fact is known by those well-versed in such matters.

Verily, (many) Messengers were denied before you, but with patience they bore the denial, and they were hurt, till Our help reached them,
This comforts the Prophet's concern for those who denied and rejected him.
Allah also commands the Prophet to be patient, just as the mighty Messengers before him were. He also promised him victory, just as the previous Messengers were victorious and the good end was theirs, after the denial and harm their people placed on them.

The Quran is the container, however, the value of the Quran is in it's contents. When those who misunderstand the Quran destroy the Quran physically, they destroy the physical container, this is not a problem, why, because they can never destroy the contents this lives in the hearts of the believers.
THE CONTENTS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE CONTAINER.

To say the truth, reading the Bible and other religious books, have only made me closer to Islam more than ever before and it also motivated me and gives me confidence to debate with people from all religious backgrounds. Alhamdulillah(All praise is to Allah). If you start to read the Bible in the Islamic point of view, many things which were not clear before will suddenly seem so simple to understand. I'm not trying to persuade you, but just have a share in my experience.

The supposition of some of the early commentators (extensively quoted by Tabari) that the letter n, pronounced nun, represents here an abbreviation of the identically-pronounced noun which signifies both "great fish" and "inkwell" has been convincingly rejected by some of the most outstanding authorities (e.g., Zamakhshari and Razi) on grammatical grounds."

your comment is so confusing and incorrect. There is only one God and He is the one who created the torah, the bible and the quran. these are God's words of truth. All books have been translated but you read in the language those books were sent down in. ALSO unfortunately the bible and torah have been changed so many times that it has become more of man's words than God's words.

In the Quran the king at the time of Prophet Joseph pbuh is simply referred to as "malik" which means "king", while in Bible the king at the time of Prophet Joseph pbuh is referred to as Pharaoh which is historically incorrect because at that time the people of Eqypt did not call their ruler Pharaoh.

It was a practice of Prophet Muhammad pbuh and Muslims do it in order to emulate the last Prophet of God.
