The white spacer is a shock travel limiter, you were suppose to install it inside the shock body on the shock shaft to keep the shock from over extending and causing damage to driveshafts.
Traxxas now makes the "Extreme Heavy Duty Driveshafts". Not sure how long they've been out, but they are much thicker than the stock drive shafts. I put them on my VXL stampede and VXL Slash.
Looks real good. I have a skully based on the same platform that I would like to end up doing these same upgrades to. Well, whenever I stop putting money into all my other rc's that is.
@@RoadsideRC no kidding. I'm a real mechanic and of course I work on my own cars and they get costly, but these little cars cost can add up as well. I was out of the hobby for 15 years and just got back in maybe a year or two ago, but I love how far they have came with the technology of them. I use to run nitro now I'd never go back full time. I love lipo too much now.
@@RoadsideRC I have the maxx. I thought about getting an x, I feel I like the size of the maxx better. Carrying to run spots and such. Idk what I'll get next, I really like the rustler vxl 4x4.
Where did you install the small white spacer on the rear. I was unable to see it. I need to get them and install on my rustler. I have the same set of axles from mop and they did not come with the kit. Thank you
did you ever brake it??? i saw that u said the little peace falls off so you glued it is that all? if so i can't wait to install mine they are coming tomorrow
So far, all of the aluminum parts have been great. The MIP shafts have a weakness with the small white plastic keeper. If it gets bumped off, then the whole thing can come apart. I ended up putting glue on it to hold it on.
@@RoadsideRC I personally feel as if the tighter pin should’ve gone in the joint versus going to the wheel hex, the pin for the wheel hex being that tight would make it a real pain in the rear to get out for bearing service etc.

Ah! Dang - thanks for the tip!

Yes they do offer those. Seems folks still break those - just not as easily as the older version.

I understand that for sure!
Too many RCs, too much $$$!

Agree again!
I ran RC when I was younger. Got tired of the nitro problems.
Then, a few years back, saw an X-maxx and just had to have one!

Thank you for the support Tony.
Nice upgrades
Thanks!
great upgrades,nice video
Thanks 👍
Great install video 👍🏁
Thanks! 👍
Do you think the aluminum hex is tough on plastic rims? I have broken a couple since I installed them. Maybe just coincidental.
Nope! Aluminum hexes are better - less likely to deform and cause stripping of the wheel hex.
Bash on!
Looking good 👍
Thanks 👍

I don't think I installed it at all! Perhaps it was supposed to go between the two bearings?

I broke those on the second run running them normally.
Sorry to hear that.

I'm sorry, I don't remember.
@@RoadsideRC it's ok i got it i accidentally got the version for the nitro RC cars so the dog bones are too short :(
Can it fits the bandit, i have to know, good video btw👌
Yes, I believe it will!
Thax dude, does it fits the slash. If it is, it will fit the bandit
When are you gonna do more latrax vids
Not sure. What do you want to see on it? Honestly, I think it might be about as maxed out as it will get.
I’d love to see a finished product video with all the modifications you’ve put in the description and talking about it and TopSpeed
Can i putthem in my slash?
If you have the 2wd Slash, yes.

Would these work on the 4x4 vxl stampede? Thanks!

There is a set specifically for the 4x4:

I think those pins were not installed right.
How do you think they should have been installed?
