    This place is nice but should not be anywhere near 1 million dollars.

I respect your opinion and it would be valid in some cases, but you have to consider that you are not just buying the home; you are also buying its location and waterfront accessibility, of which proximity to open water has a lot of value.The convenience of having quick access to open water adds significant value to the property. Some canal homes take 30-45 minutes to reach the Harbor. This home's proximity to the harbor is under 7 minutes. For Example, Vacant Land looking at the Charlotte Harbor with instant access to the harbor starts at 1 million dollars. So, in the end, it is all relative to where you want to live and how much money you want to spend on yourself, your family, and your lifestyle. Your right a Million dollars is a lot of money for some people but for others its not. Punta Gorda is a Beautiful place mostly retired and second home owners who have the means to enjoy what they worked for and or want to relax and enjoy there remaining years.
      In my opinion, as a Floridian, there is nothing better than living on the water and having access to open water within a few minutes.
      You have the opportunity for recreational activities like boating, fishing, and swimming. This makes the property more appealing. Some people see the value in investing in waterfront property.
