Robert Farris Thompson is the consummate example of the committed intellectual: enthusiastic, passionate, knowledgeable and rigorous; but, above all, love and respect your subject matter.

Master T. Legend. Speaking Truth to the World. Jean Michel Basquiat named him as one of the few people who 'got it right' , referring to the African Paradox. 'Flash of the Spirit' is one of my favorite books of all time.

Do you know more where I can read on this paradox and how it relates to this talk? It can be a littel tricky to put all the pieces and ideas together.

It doesn't get any better than this. There's a reason they call Professor Thompson "Master".

An excellent teacher. But how frustrating that the camerawork made it so hard to follow.

Why would the person filming not focus on the images? Ugh
