It's not like that in every song, but You can clearly see Angelina's joy in singing in this song.
A very reserved audience that needs to loosen up. That was definitely dancing music.
This concert was held on the border of Norway and Sweden. Scandinavians are known for being reserved, as you see in the videos of this concert. It's a thing here in Seattle, the home if the US National Nordic Museum.

Almost. Anyway, the man loves good music. Dave, they are Norwegians. They tend to be reserved, and wish not to attract attention to themselves. Some know how to surrender to the music. Angelina sure knows, even as a little kid.

@@poolhallshark It is entertaining how very different cultures react. Even within the US itself, different parts of the country are significantly different from one another. Angelina does a magnificent job of touching human emotions. This particular song would have total audience participation in some places in the US. But even the reserved and wonderful people in that audience were nonetheless captivated by the beauty, emotion and soul of Ms. Angie.

Just wondering if others see the joy in her when she is singing live?
All of her music is great but when she is live it's like she feeds off of the crowd, and her food of choice is JOY.
She was in the middle of a huge crowd just having fun singing an old famous etta James's song without any effort and still sung it even better than the original and that's lovely 11 yo angelina's magic 🙏🙏👍👍💙💙

1. An important thing to remember about AJ is that she refused to sign for a record deal through AGT and they relented and invited her to sing anyway.
2. AJ is currently signed with Republic Records.
3. She began singing at 18 months and due to her grandmothers influence, she was drawn to and fell in love with jazz and blues music.
4. She has been arranging most, if not all of her music performances since she was 8 years old. Hopefully this will remain as she continues her career with Republic.
5. Currently in 2022 she still performs barefoot and I hope by now that you have discovered the incredible reason why she does that.
6. AJ sews her own clothes, (the cloth is designed by her grandmother) and she stands 6 feet tall at 15 yeats old!
7. We all hope to enjoy her performances for many years to come.
8. BTW I'm 80 and have been involved privately in music since age 7.

Angelina sings gospel!! Backed by a great choir, Angelina raises everyone spirit, providing a positive message in her own unique way. Awesome.
I don't know, Andy. You are one of my most trusted authorities on all things Angelina, but I have to disagree with one thing. While the song is done in a gospel style and has a gospel feel to it, the song is not a gospel song. It's actually an R&B song. That made the song, when originally released by Etta James, a little bit controversial. Given that, I have no doubt Angelina could sing gospel and do it well.

Hey Dave. I am from Trinidad, and I've therefore got rhythm in my soul! I was jumping up and down and prancing around and, like you, I can't imagine why EVERYONE in that audience wasn't doing just that. This song is one that is in Angelina's wheelhouse. The jazz and soul are oozing from her. Although she can sing any genre, this is in her primary comfort zone. If you'd like to hear another that is also right in her wheelhouse, please react to Lovin You. Just pure jazz!
I must mildly disagree. 😌Although jazz and blues have antecedents in American Gospel music, Gospel isn’t necessarily in Angelina’s wheelhouse (IMHO).
Having said that, Angelina’s wheelhouse IS definitely translating heartfelt emotion into music, and in this, no one compares to her. This was an amazing performance by Angelina, but kudos are especially in order for this “Scandinavian” chorus. They did an outstanding job. ♥️
Having said that, Ilook forward to the day that Angelina performs with an American Gospel choir. The energy would power the world! 😬

I mentioned the song Lovin You because it is a pure jazz song and Angelina crushes that as well.
Thank you for your kind thoughts. I realize I was stretching your use of “wheelhouse” with my mild rebuke. In actuality there probably is no genre, nor song that isn’t in Angelina’s wheelhouse. That’s partly why we love her so much.

How does she do it? How does she change styles so effortlessly and just kill it every time? It’s like Angelina thought-let me give this some R&B along with some jazz, but I’ll wrap gospel around it all. How many times have I heard Angelina sing a song I know-and give me my new favorite version. This is how this song should be sung.
It's called musical genius, that's not an explanation but it's the truth. Mozart could hold entire symphonies in his head by the age of six. Angelina can hold songs in her head and express them down to the smallest nuance, improvising on them in amazingly beautiful, tasteful ways.

I think you reached a new higher level of enjoyment with this Angelina performance. She really comes alive in front of a live audience. I'm 76, but I WILL live long enough to see her perform live at a venue where I can enjoy the whole experience. Seeing her in concert has become #1 on my bucket list.

Whenever my daughter’s choir would sing a gospel song, I would chuckle at her clapping on the downbeat, as if her blonde hair and blue eyes weren’t proof enough that she was very white, lol! It’s not a gospel song but it sure sounds like one. Anyway I’m loving all the white folk here politely sitting down and clapping on the downbeat lol! I thank God it comes so naturally to Angelina to spread good music around the world.
