On my way to get steam baskets!!!!!! This is amazing! All my ferns are mounted to wood that I painstakingly cut and sanded. I have two ferns now that have been needed mounting for like, 6 months but I’ve been to lazy to prepare the wood 🥹🥹🥹
wood is so nice too! I just don't have the skills or patience to prep them lol And the steam baskets are quirky and fun! And easy to replace if needed hehe
Such an enjoyable video.. Im feeling yucky today and not motivated but You are giving me ideas to try my teeny fern (from my grandson) in sphagnum.. Now to find a dimsum basket 😊👍🌱 and it looks like Crystal Star Nursery has a botanical hunt tomorrow at 7pm 🎉
Loved the creativity! I'm thinking I may put my reservations aside and get myself a staghorn fern. Do you have any favorite (Canadian) online plant suppliers? Favorite place to get your plants?
I loved the idea and have been waiting to get the plants and baskets to do it for sooo long. I made them, thank you for the tutorial. Mine have mould starting already though. How do you avoid that Bekka?
Such a cute idea and fun video!! Thank you for showing us I’ve always wanted to make a staghorn mount!!!! Question do you ever use leca or pon with no drainage? If so please make a video I’m really having trouble! I have a Thai constellation on the way I want to put in leca and I don’t want anything to go wrong!
yup, I use both leca and pon, although I prefer leca for semi hydro, and I use pon as a base layer with soil plants in no drainage. I can try and make a quick video about that soon!
@@HerPlantStories please I would really appreciate that! I love how detailed you are. I would love to know how much of a water resiviour you have in no drainage and what nutrients. Also if you let it dry out before adding more water etc etc. thank you!!
I've been always curious about how xylem.pholem's stags- they turned out so well! How often do you find they need watering in the bamboo baskets? Less than before?
The result looks amazing! 👌
Such a cute idea.

@@HerPlantStories I just found your channel yesterday I really like your content.
How do u prevent ur cats from biting the toxic plants
Luckily my cats don’t bother eating the plants! And just to be safe I grow cat grass for them to nibble on instead as well

Right?? They are so cute! Yeah a little less than before, which is nice! I was always accidentally letting them get too dry before that 😅
