- I asked my gold and silver bullion dealer what gold and silver stackers should buy. Tim Marschner of the Coin and Stamp Shop says we are seeing a "perfect storm" with precious metals, and he gives surprising advice for someone looking to buy $10,000 worth of precious metals. This month the Federal Reserve raised interest rate another quarter percent (25 basis points) and signaled that even more rate hikes could be coming in their anemic inflation fight. Gold and silver spot prices responded by going up, along with the unprecedented demand for gold and silver! There's a feeling new gold and silver stackers are "panic stacking" and that a level of desperation is being seen in Tim's shop. People all around the country are calling him to buy silver and gold at a fast pace. In this video, I discuss with Tim the challenges of stacking silver rounds, silver bars, silver coins, gold coins, and 90% silver, and I ask him what gold and silver makes sense to stack right now. To any new stackers who may read this: please don’t panic stack. Precious metals will likely not be your greatest or most needed resource in hard times. Panic should not drive your decision making. Also, I think it has to be noted that Tim is a one-man operation who is taking orders from his locals AND I’m sure many people from Yankee’s 100k+ subscriber base. THe last silver run was 2008, it flopped in 2015, like 1/2 its value. But NO ONE believes in Historical data. And No stacker can tell me when the Last time in Modern History metals saved there lives.

I've been buying since 1999 when gold was $350 and silver was $2.95. Dealers thought I was crazy to be buying the stuff back then.

Amen to that, Antonio. I had a very smart mother who taught me the 5 steps to living a decent life:
1) work hard, because all employers appreciate employees who want to work and not just do a job.
2) save religiously, because even small but steady amounts add up nicely.
3) spend carefully, because wasting money puts on on a path to poverty.
4) invest wisely, because most people cannot save their way to financial independence.
5) find a great spouse and stay with them for life, because this is emotionally and financially beneficial.
While these do not guarantee leading a decent life, they sure do bend the odds considerably in one's favor.

You know all those years ago, we were on Silver Doctors, I have to tell you, I've NEVER SEEN (or heard of!) a $22 mark up on Silver Eagles! 175% valuation over other sovereigns! If silver hit 2000 at some point, and Gold were at 10-20k I don't think there's a chance in hell that an ASE would sell for 3750 while a Britannia only sold for 2,000. (where I'm going with this) Monday, I'm going to call my major 3 dealers and price a SWAP to sell my ASE's (2011-2021) for Britannias. It just seems to me like that one opportune moment to double a portion of my stack, while staying within my sovereign comfort zone!
I’m sure Tim’s knowledge, honesty, and friendliness goes a long way to ensure your first purchase will not be your last. Hard to find “salt of the earth” people in retail nowadays, but they’re still out there. I used to deal with a car dealer who was the nicest guy and his philosophy was not to sell you one car, but many cars. He did that by being honest, polite, friendly and most of all fair……….
That car dealer sounds like a classic case of someone who REALLY understand business. It always amazes me at
how many people are "in business" and don't have a clue as to how to do it properly. This fellow does, big-time!

Yup , I had a car dealer who would tell a family guy in his lot , sir I just bought 25 cars at auction and they are being gone over now and will be ready in a week , if ya need a car today I can rent you one of those 5 over there for $15 a day until then. Ain't many like him around no more !

Gold is close to an all-time high, silver is pricey and the physical metal premiums are nuts.
Happy to have the stack I have - but I'm not adding more at current prices.
When prices are high I buy collectable stuff that's priced the same on high or low

When I converted a small IRA to gold & silver back in December, buying the metals from SD Bullion, I had no idea how good my timing was. My “IRA stack” of gold & silver is easily up $5K in value.
Did you have any issue with SD Bullion? I am looking at going with them. I haven't bought silver in a long time and want to pick up more of it.

I only ever had one problem with them, so I called them about it, and they fixed the problem with a lost order quickly and
professionally. When my order arrived, it includes a 1/4 oz. incused Indian Head silver round at no charge. Just a little
bonus for my trouble. Doing that cemented our relationship and I've been a steady customer of theirs ever since.
I cashed out my small IRA (401K rollover) in 2020 without an early withdrawal penalty, and spent it on silver. I am easily up a 100% now.
@@ca6echka Good move. My PM IRA completed my stack (at least, that’s what I tell my wife 🤣) and I’m now taking periodic penalty-free distributions to move this gold & silver from the storage facility to our home.
So interesting. My local coin shop in Canada is stocked with so much metal and variety. They should send some down to you Tim.

I’d bet that Tim has more cash on hand after selling what’s in his shop than most local banks. You would think they’d love to see him come in to make a deposit.

I enjoy watching your videos and I’ve been stacking for a few years now and I have raw gold and silver and I have silver coins and bars but my next is buying gold coins and bars is the raw gold and silver a choice for when things go south with the government.
Amazing how well you get treated in a coin shop and you tell them you want to drop 5 or 10 grand. I got lucky in Arizona a couple of weeks ago when they told me a fellow was there to sell his collection the day before. I got the pick of the litter.
Im glad my LCS has not had a problem getting silver. I have to wonder about Tim's Wholesaler's.
My LCS has no trouble getting silver....its the fact they have to pay so much for it and pass it on to the buyer. Silver is always going to be for sale, but the price may be offensive to most in the future. eBay will always have silver.
As far as what to buy ,, I suggest anything you can get you're hands on

I love Tim's videos. But one thing I have always wondered is how he keeps track of all the stuff in his shop? The last vid gave a glimpse into that backroom with boxes piled everywhere and this one with all those boxes piled on the floor in front of that one case!😊😊
I've seen that happen with people who have a very cluttered desk, yet can grab THE 1 piece of paper in all those piles within just a few seconds. It's almost scary.
Maybe their minds are in the same shape, so they are 100% in tune with where things are when the rest of us can't see how! The absolute worst thing one can do
to such a person is to "clean" their desk, office, or in this case, their shop. Do that and they cant find a thing for weeks.
After listening to Tim for several months now I realize he is very intelligent. He probably has no problem remembering what he has and where it’s at.

and it's not easy to lay hands on just what I need. A bit of shuffling and digging usually sorts it out, though.

I went to a coin show this past weekend and there are plenty of dealers with gold and silver to be had. My "Tim" who is named Bob sold probably 75K in metals and coinage but probably bought close to 100k in Silver. There is still some out there if you know where to look.

Question for you but first a little background. I started investing in gold in 2008 when I saw the stock market crash coming and took the maximum allowed loan I could take against my 401k, bought gold, then sold it after the stock market crash. I managed to pay off the 401k loan getting back more shares than I sold for the loan, paid off my truck 2 years early, and took my wife on a nice week long vacation all with the profits I made from my gold move. In 2013 I got into silver but not seriously, and recently started stacking (so far every piece of silver I've bought is 1 and 10oz but plan to get into kilos as well). Anyway, some of the plastic envelopes the silver came in is deteriorating, some cracking, and those bars where the plastic is cracking the bars are toning. Not sure this is the right move but I bought tarnish strips to stop this from happening but curious about your thoughts on the plastic the silver comes in and the toning of the silver bars.
I've not trusted; nor kept money in them,since I found out they have fractional lending.🤑
