As a Brazilian fan of NBA basketball I never seen a atmosphere like that by the Toronto's fans , every point was celebrate like a goal in football here in Brazil
Everyone knew GSW was in trouble after this game even if they didn’t wanna admit it. They swept their last 6 games in the west conference and they were getting overhyped madly because they were back to back champs and made quick work of the rockets (play terrible defence) and Blazers (play terrible defence) and you knew Raptors intense length and defensive athleticism among their front line players in Siakam/Kawhi and Gasol bench in Ibaka, Powell on wing etc. was gonna be a real problem. That is what ended up happening. On top of that Vanvleet became a pain in Curry’s ass as he proved he could chase him around screens no problem better than Lowry ever could and disturb and make him work really hard to score. He was matching him blow for blow and out clutching him with BACK BREAKING 3s after 3s that were souls zapping. Without FVV’s clutch gene, Toronto does not even get passed Milwaukee in the ECF.
Golden state was overhyped but they could not stop curry even with that box and 1 curry averaged 30 a game that series with Klay fully healthy it could have been different it still went to 6 games there is a great chance that if Klay was playing in game 3 when curry had 47 points they would have had a 2-1 lead and things could have changed with the momentum
@@darhk_night6660 game 3 and 4 weren’t really that close. Raptors dominated them at the Oracle. It was a minor miracle Goldenstate pulled out game 5 when Kawhi went nuts in those last 6 minutes or so. It should have been champagne in game 5 in Toronto without those 3 straight 3s in the last minute. Game 2 was a nailbittimg win for GS too. Kawhi steal and Iggy clutch 3 away from losing
@@darhk_night6660 in game 4 Klay was GSs best player and dropped 30 even if coming back. Kawhi was hobbled bad all ECF and especially Finals. What I am saying is GS were as close to getting swept in 4 if they lost that supper tight game 2 in Toronto after they broke out in the 3rd quarter. They were Kawhi finger tip steal and breakaway dunk from losing that game instead of the ball finding Iggy for a late 3. They lose that game and it is a 4 game sweep. No way GS would win that series without KD. He was the X factor. Even with game 6 Klay doing his thing before getting injured late in the 3rd, the game was there for the taking for Toronto as it was a back and forth tight game. I would say they had zero shot of winning game 7 in Toronto without KD even if Klay didn’t get hurt and forced it
The problem with this particular highlight video is they have not included the hustling, hard defense by the Raptors . In this NBA finals last year it was the first time i saw hustling defense like that (in this case, from the Raptors) since the late 1990s and earlier
Not gonna lie, it wasn't until they won Game 1 that I was fully convinced 2019 would be the Raptors' year to win a championship at long last. Before the Finals I was kinda wavering; 'would be awesome to see the Raps win, but....these are the Warriors, they know how to get it done' I figured this will go 6, maybe 7 games....then the Raps went out & took Game 1 & I finally said to myself 'Man, the Raps, they're really gonna get it done, they really have a chance now...' :-) I think winning Game 1 really gave the Raps even more confidence, you always want to get that 1st game in & then take it from there. Raps did that and then some. So great to have these highlights & memories, especially now during quarantine & COVID-19. #WeTheChamps :-D
Roles of basketball players in the past: Center: big man PF: versatile big man SF: versatile player SG: shooting and sometimes inside Pg: perimeter shooting Now: Center: shoot 3s PF: shoot 3s SF: shoot 3s SG: shoot 3s PG: shoot 3s
Warrior fans can complain all they want but injuries happen it’s a part of the game you can’t know when a player is going to go down the raptors won and they deserved that championship of how hard they fought throughout all the playoffs , they came out winning it all , you can assume and say the warriors would of won but either way it just wasn’t in the cards for them to win that season
Once the Raptors took Game 1 I think we all knew; before Game 1 I was still kinda 'on the fence', but taking Game 1, that gave the Raps all the confidence, they knew they had the team to finally win the championship. Such great memories for sure. :-D
