I've always been impressed with the modelling in TSW4
Yh the modelling is always on point, its the sounds that’s an issue more often than not🙄
Very nice work! Please don't pay attention to some of the unhinged comments from the previous video. You guys are smashing it!
So rightfully pointing out that the sounds are not accurate is unhinged? For a game that is advertised as an authentic simulator, pointing out that the sounds are not accurate is not unhinged just because you don't like them
Lol. Are they tho? Constructive feedback is helpful.
Do you know what the word “unhinged” means? To be quite frank, if people providing feedback triggers you so much that you’d describe them as “unhinged”, they’re not the ones you need to be worried about.
Nobody is being unhinged mate, we are just paying customers who want accuracy from something which has "sim" in the name. Really not asking for that much yet rivet are too incompetent with their sounds to actually add the accurate ones we all want.
Unhinged comments? What a load of rubbish mate
Great modelling. Appreciate all of your guys work! 👍😮💨❤️😁but....just for that bit more realism do we/please can we have all 4 tones that the 170 has in real life? High, low. Soft high and soft low 👍❤️😉
Still a WIP... ~michele
@@RivetGames 👍😉
Amazing work! This seems like a very complex method and not easy to do so well done for creating one of my favourite trains accurately on this game!
Thanks for taking the time to not only make these videos but also answer the genuine and the unhinged comments.
Look forward to seeing the final form of all of your hard work!
I like the work you are all doing on this Class 170. I look forward to seeing the add on come in due course. Please keep up the great work!
Awesome effort Rivet!
Can't wait for this, Hopefully get the Tay Bridge in the game in future :)
This looks great can’t wait for this.
Amazing really love the hard work and detail your team is putting into the cab. Pls do diesel smoke and if fans on roof working pls.
Looks very nice
Very nice interesting technique
I love it so much I cannot wait
impressive
Even if the cab isn’t fully right can you make the older headlight model and then you can improve the numbers to make the 170 more realistic??
This is the 170 they had access to so it's based on that. There's many different versions of it
it's only one unit that has the older lights I think
@@oParkLikesStuff not one unit
170401-415 have old headlight clusters, which are represented as large here in game
@@GTRRailwaysTrainspotterAh ok well, lets just see if rivet changes it
Interesting stuff. Do you use the same technique for the exterior front end?
Interesting video! Nice to see the making of stuff. My question is what AI layers do you plan to have for the dlc? Hoping you'll add the 801 & 385 to run in and out of Waverley.
Nobody knows yet. Probably closer to release
The sooner this is out the sooner you get my money 👌 looks amazing Can I ask are yous modelling the fairground that sits in Burntisland for 3 months of the year?
Don't rush them
Model is alright but sounds are crap. Where are the fan sounds when the 170 starts up
Here is a tip. Stop complaining about everything. God people like you guys are annoying
Work in progress, give it a chance. ~michele
Interesting WIP video. Whats the photogrammetry software called?
It looks like 'RealityCapture' from Epic Games.
Its definately it, becaue I have it and know what its Interface is like. Its very useful for this kind of stuff.
What about using Lidar Photogrametry?
They already use lidar. Lidar was used on bernina
Please make the class 195/331! 🙏
This seem to make your work easyer... Could this mean prices will decrease in the future?
No
I don't think you know how development works
Doesn't make it that much easier
the software costs a lot of money
good one
can we hear the horn?
They also have a walkaround preview
@rivetgames make the west coast mainline: Stafford To Manchester Piccadilly With A 350 220 221 and 390
That's way too much work for them
Why not this much attention to the optimization? 😢
Just because we don't do a dev blog about it, doesn't mean we don't pay as much attention to it. Perhaps another dev blog in the making... 😃~michele
Optimization is something that always happens
Please make this one of your routes that are not awful and make it actually seem like you put effort into this route (UNLIKE WEST CORNWALL LOCAL). This route has been highly requested, so make sure you nail the sounds and model perfectly, and put more than a half assed amount of effort into this than what you do with other routes. You can do better than this, Rivet, and improve your status quo, so critics of TSW 4 actually get the best possible outcome and experience for the game. Seriously, you give Dovetail Games a run for their money with the awful and shocking quality of the add-ons you put out.
Rivet have made some decent dlc. You can never have perfect unfortunately
Fair enough, for example they helped with Cathcart Circle, which is a fantastic route, and made the Island line, whic is also great, however it doesn't rescue their god awful reputation.@@potatoman451
