    Specifications:
    • AC speed control for fireplace fans, stove fans, and more.
    • 115 Volts, 3.0 Amp.
    • Complete kit includes the rheostat, knob, and mounting nut.
    • True OFF/ON (speed) operation.
    Dimensions:
    • Rheostat measures 1-5/8" square (4cm) by 1" deep (2.5cm).
    • Knob is 1-1/4" round (1.5cm).
    • When completely assembled, the unit measures from the back of rheostat to the front of the knob 2" (5cm).
    • 6" long lead wires.

    I installed a new rheostat but only have one speed, I put both wires from the rheostat on both black wires but only can get one speed

    Will a rheostat work to increase fan speed on pelletstove that is controlled by a computer board? The pellet stove has to be set at highest heat setting to blow a little, thus burning up wood pellets unnecessarily...thanks for your time and I await a reply before I slap on a rheostat.

      A rheostat will only decrease the speed of a fan. The "highest" setting on a rheostat will be equivalent to the speed if you wired the fan direct.

    Was there a red wire on your blower? I have the same blower but I have a red wire..

      Regardless of wire colors, you want to interrupt the power wire with the speed controller.
