One tip is to learn to fish, because fishing above all teaches you how to predict and read, and play unlocked. When you play rustic, you'll be that much better for those fishing skills, even if you never BS another opponent.
Backstabbing requires study, prediction, and risk assessment on your opponent. I agree so much that learning to fish would improve your entire game. Same goes with playing unlocked. @@moon-berserker8870 There is NO practical game purpose to point down gesture AFTER a match has ended; & any Gamer who claims to do it because of specific behavior the opponent did is also a "delusion of grandeur". Outside of a prearranged group battle, those are ARTIFICIAL constraints. Just like a Gamer is free to behave like Trash, they will be perceived as such. 🗑
@@moon-berserker8870 In my opinion, the most entertaining Souls-Gamer whom is also highly skilled is "Project Goof"! Due to issues with TH-cam algorithm, his channel didn't get due acknowledgment. I pray he returns with Demon Souls Remake. -May the Sun Shine Eternally!!! 🌞
My spacing is kinda decent, but the thing that made me step up my playstyle was playing with a "cosplay build" that wasn't "effective" (low dmg, no hyper armor, no absorption) at all for his SL and reinforcement range, being put in harder situations makes you significatly better at everything.
I will say using the Lautrec cosplay helped me. Shotels aren't exactly a top-tier weapon. That being said, staying barely out of range of your opponent can be learned even with more forgiving or effective choices.
@@SamMaxis That's true, but to my experience many people can oneshot an opponent, and knowing that makes them feel too comfortable and leaves space to many mistakes since they think "i just need a R1 into jumping R2 with my buffed curved GS to win this duel " and the constant awareness they can kill you quickly makes their head go nuts and they get slowly chipped down, riposted or BS into oblivion
I too play unlocked. But the camera motion is too slow, and even if I speed up camera speed, I can overshoot the camera window 30% of the time. Also, if I try to relock to center my character & camera window back onto the opponent it actually doesn’t and focuses me in some far off orientation - I think that’s to do with being too far spaced from opponent and/or I moved the camera just out of sight of the opponent. Dunno definitely fighting my own controller - have remapped numerous times on regular Xbox controller and even moved up to wolverine controller ... thoughts?
