I don't understand how saying he's trying to respect his elders and avoid an argument with her is considered age-shaming-that doesn't make sense to me. I think we were all taught to respect our elders. He didn't call her old, he just pointed out the age difference. As a young man, his tolerance for conflict might be different, and his comment about wanting to physically fight her may have been in response to a request to make his character more despicable for the show. There seems to be some misunderstanding of the context. It's important to remember that Jaleel White was a kid growing up on a major TV show, and there were two very different generations on set. The transplants from Perfect Strangers have every right to feel some type of way, but let's be honest-*Family Matters* was about to be canceled before Urkel came along and saved it. I don't think anyone was truly in the wrong here, but we have to consider the huge age gap and the fact that Jaleel spent the majority of his adolescence and early adulthood on that show. We all get on our family members' nerves as we get older and more confident. So, cut the guy some slack-everyone could use a little more understanding.
TGIF WAS THE SHYT!!! I do loved that family matters was the spin-off of perfect strangers when she was an elevator operator! Balky was my dude on perfect strangers

@@JustJohnda and that’s crazy to me.. I wouldn’t care as long as what I created was doing well.. it doesn’t have to be centered around the person who made the show even if tht was the point
Jaleel sounds like a bitter ass hole. He tried to hop on the 2024 expose train but he just exposed himself 🤡 I like that the family looked like a real family.
The black female actors are the ones hating on the males most of the time. Vivian Bank, Florida Evans and Harriet Winslow all were hating on their black male co host.
Actually the infamous scene actually was suppose to involve drug use from OGD not a fight LOL~ But this wasn't aloud and thats what caused the almost fight between Jaleel White and Jo Marie Payton. 💉🤔🤯🙆
He seems like he had a disdain for women in general. He might have mommy issues. He gives off an arrogant, abonoxious, A-hole energy, walking around with a wounded ego and a chip on his shoulder
I don't disagree with Jaleel. They're older, and I would leave it alone as well. People have to remember, Jaleel was literally a child for the duration of that show - a child that was being exalted and praised for his comedic abilities. Would it be reasonable to assume that a child receiving that level of attention would be a bit of a brat or hard to deal with, yes. It would be. I'm not surprised to hear that he was a cut-up at all. If I was him, I would just remind everyone that I was literally nine to seventeen-years-old during many of those incidents, and I would just say, "Hey, I was a twelve (or whatever). I hope they are able to forgive me. I was young. I was famous. I'm sure I was a handful some days, even for my parents.", and I would drop the mic right there, but no, I wouldn't public fight with my elders either. I'm around Jaleel's age, and I'm not fighting with anybody about something I did in middle-school. Give me a break.
The fact that he chose to age shame them as opposed to actually answering the question, only confirms what they were saying about his behavior.

😳 Harriett Winslow can do no wrong in my eyes. I’m with Jo Marie Payton on this!
I adore your winter realness… love it❤
ATP…I’m tired of Jaleel. Always complaining and ain’t doing nothing
What’s changed with TH-cam where you have to be infront of the camera now?
She not lying her story has never changed.
The fact that I clicked on this so fast 😮
I read an article about Jaleel White, the article said he doesn't get along with women very well and he's kind of mental, so yeah there you have it.
That’s why he dates and married the women who will put up with his b.s.
At this point Jaleel, you’re the problem 🤦🏾♀️
I used to wonder how come Jaleel wasn't together with the "Family Matters" reunion. This confirms it... He's a jerk!!!
TGIF WAS THE SHYT!!! I do loved that family matters was the spin-off of perfect strangers when she was an elevator operator! Balky was my dude on perfect strangers
They older lady that played the grandmother said the disrespect was a two way street .. The lady said the lady who played Harriet was mad that the show is her vehicle for her & she would get pissed very easily at him ..
as she should have been she started the show….
@@TheHeat205Network that’s ppl problem too entitled.. you dnt get to show yo ssa because it’s your show 🤣
@kristanoneal I believe that. Jo Marie had the same issue that Esther Rolle had with Good Times shifting from being her show to becoming all about the JJ bufoonery.
@@JustJohnda and that’s crazy to me.. I wouldn’t care as long as what I created was doing well.. it doesn’t have to be centered around the person who made the show even if tht was the point
U can't predict who the audience is gonna gravitate to sometimes you have break out stars
Jaleel sounds like a bitter ass hole. He tried to hop on the 2024 expose train but he just exposed himself 🤡 I like that the family looked like a real family.
@@1Sakks0 a dusty in hollyweird form
He mad now because karma is knocking at the door
The disrespect of these Black women icons by their Black male counterparts is ridiculous!!! 💩 Hasn't changed. Smdh
The black female actors are the ones hating on the males most of the time. Vivian Bank, Florida Evans and Harriet Winslow all were hating on their black male co host.
What a disappointment he turned out to be!
Straight up!!
Actually the infamous scene actually was suppose to involve drug use from OGD not a fight LOL~ But this wasn't aloud and thats what caused the almost fight between Jaleel White and Jo Marie Payton. 💉🤔🤯🙆
Jaleel seems immature and diabolical
He seems like he had a disdain for women in general. He might have mommy issues. He gives off an arrogant, abonoxious, A-hole energy, walking around with a wounded ego and a chip on his shoulder
Hes a coward Sagittarius😮 i believe her
Very interested in the Thelma pov
He was/is something else.😂😂😂😂
He’s rude and showed who he really is!
I like your outfit! Cute!
I understand but as you get older you should do better
