If you have watched The Expanse, you know how terrifying and breathtaking the idea of advanced alien civilization is. Still, for me, it feels naive to simply dismiss the possibility of alien life when the life on earth itself is based on one of the most abundant element in the universe.

I heard Electromagnetism gives rise to chemical reactions, so correct me if I’m wrong, but would this mean biochemistry is reliant on physics? I may be spouting complete pseudoscience. I looked up why UV lights make Glow-In-The-Dark Tattoos Glow, and it said the ink has a chemical compound that is catalyzed by an interaction that naturally occurs with UV rays, specifically because of which specific wave of Electromagnetism it was. Frequency, right? Physics is ancient. I suppose chemistry is as well. Then biology at the cellular level at least. Microscopic. But what about smaller? More ancient, on other planets? In other galaxies? Another universe? So all is connected. We need to remember every war, every day, and never forget. Otherwise we’ll all get blindsided. Come on, humans. It’s up to us. Really. This is not a dream. It might feel dystopian. I promise, being on the side that doesn’t have science in the palm of your hands? That’s not the side you want to be on. this is why i love almost every scifi story and narrative that explores alien life, FF14 did amazing in their Endwalker DLC, its just a little dissapointing to me that they clearly did their research into most speculation about alien life, from things like referring The Dark Forrest theory, The Fermi Paradox, The Great Filter, and it kinda went over 90% of the players heads im sure. But at least it may have peaked someones interests to look into those concepts further.
What was depicted in XIV:EW - although interesting and fun from a story telling point of view - is a bit bleak. There's also the theory that Meteion might have caused the fall of these civilizations herself, instead of them self destructing with no outside factors (for the most part). A 100% doomsday scenario just doesn't feel right. Let's hope reality has a more positive outcome in store for us. Or else, may Ra-la help us.

I don’t think people quite understand the vastness of space. Even in the case of the closest stellar object to us ( the moon), something most consider “close” to us, yet you could fit every planet in the solar system in between us and it. Space is unbelievably big. If life is out there it is probably so far away, and so unconcerned with us, and so incapable of finding us that it might as well not exist at all. Answer is, statistically, highly likely life (including comparatively intelligent life) has developed on many, many other worlds. To answer why we havent seen, heard or detected them is; 1) if you were an intelligent being would you want a destructive, cruel and stupid ape to know about you? 2) Space is Big, so tremendously huge that travelling to Earths system isn't really worth the hassle.
Kurz and Koranos need to do a collaboration on the subject of their niche education platform. I think there is a large audience that, not only should be aware of both of your outstanding channels with "World-Class Content", but would enjoy a feature on how you have seamlessly integrated entertainment and education into a very viable platform. All of these theories ignore one thing that even humans do to species on our planet: Somethings aren't that interesting. So maybe there are several species that know about us. They just...don't care? Cause if you've seen one single planet species you've seen them all.
The universe keeps us all in check with distance. If a life form discovers the ability to reach another, it will also have the ability to know not to interact with a lifeform that has not yet discovered that ability. Distance is not our greatest challenge. Surviving long enough to travel that distance is.

I like the video but it’s all basic stuff that every single video about aliens covered already. I clicked because it said “What If Aliens Exist?” not “Do Aliens Exist?”. I would have preferred a video diving through some of the hypothetical ramifications if aliens actually existed.
There are also incredibly high chances that life beyond our universe, and realities we cannot comprehend, exist in alternative dimensions. And much more that we can't think of. We don't know anything. Compared to other species on our planet, we sure are far advanced, but compared to other intelligent life in the universe or elsewhere, we are no smarter or interesting than a blind worm.
It all depends on what kind of life form your thinking of, I highly doubt we have another intelligent lifeform in our Milky way, but doesn't mean their wasn't at some point! we could find traces of old life forms, kinda like fossels or something, maybe buried ruins of some sort? I personally think that their could be a dinosaur like lifeforms in our milky way, most likely in the exact same distance as we are from the center, but in some other direction, but I doubt we will ever come across another living lifeform, I honestly don't think humans can survive long enough to find out, but their are more galaxies than just the milky way, if your looking for another intelligence, another galaxy is probably our best option which is 100% impossible in any length of time, we would never be capable of traveling outside of the milkyway, and even if they some how do make hyper drive work, I bet you it still won't get us out of our solar system, why? If we assume that the universe is about 13.7 billion years old and modern humans exist for 200,000 years, that makes approximately 0.00146 percent. Rescaled to a day this would come to approximately 1.26 seconds.
Unless antimatter becomes cheap, & we find a way of preventing a dust particle from destroying our c spaceships, a great filter is interstellar travel. As for EM signals, they are going past us, but are too weak to distinguish from background EM radiation.

The only thing I'm worried about is what if there are hostile aliens out there.
