I've never seen a 1939 Ford 4 door convertible, ever! I didn't even know that Ford made them. What gets me is the rear doors are not the suicide style. Most 4 door sedans had the suicide rear doors, back in the day. Very interesting😮, and very cool😎👍. Y'all scored a big one Matt. I hope that it was really worth it, financially, I mean. You, Mike and Steve have got to be having so much fun, digging through and finding so many different, cool, one of a kind things, aka, the 'woody' plus so, so much more. I used to love going to my best friends, Uncle's Junk Yard, and being allowed, with my buddy, to dig through cars and trucks that were freshly towed into the junkyard. I would say that it was 50 percent wrecked vehicles and 50 percent old, broken down vehicles. And, Oh Boy, the things people just leave in and on their vehicles was amazing. Even the wrecked ones had so much stuff. My buddy and I would get so frickin' dirty, greasy, fire soot, dusty and plain ol' gross to look at, as we dug into and around and under, sometimes 1 to 12 vehicles a day. Heck, even the ones his Uncle would buy at auctions, complete, running or not, people would leave so much stuff. Anyway, Y'all had yourselves a purdy good time gathering all the goodies, kinda like getting the best candy at Halloween, being able to pick out whatcha want. HA😂😮😅HA!
WOW!!! That brings back memories! Back in the early '60's a friend of mine (in Rhode Island) found one of these in running and drivable condition. I think it was from an estate. Really a nice one. He was a high end machinist and took real good care. Back in the day I bought an original one owner '39 deluxe two door for $100.00 and drove it up until 1963. Good luck as always. I believe the dash on this one is slightly different, but just a little bit. Certainly adaptable. This model and the woodie had "40 style wipers.

Just out of curiosity, when you make a time/cost evaluation do you also figure in whatever the income would be for a vid showing the repair process? I would imagine a hood repair would generatea lot of interest and views.

That would be the BEST building to have as a house/shop. Everything in there and the whole building is GREAT.
Matt, that looks like a early 60's Rupp go cart you can tell by the turbine wheels and the three spoke steering wheel. Very cool!

If you mean European Ford Capri the parts should start 69 EB or EG for early MK1, 72 EB or EG for facelift MK1. 74EB or EG for mk2.

No need to switch the hood, just fix it, ive seen guys fix worse hoods then that.
Time versus cost. Can find a replacement hood for far less money than the time it would take to fix.
