In the lead clip version you are supposed to keep the lead by pushing the rubber on hard, the idea of the system is if you get a break the line pulls through . You do not need to loose the lead. As it will be lost it you get a break.
Hi @Roachcatcher266, we wouldn't ever recommend 'pushing the tail on hard' as this just increases risk. If you are playing a carp and the lead becomes snagged, you still want it to be able to release. In the event of a crack off this will still pull through as suggested.
1 tip, put the loop not only over the stem of the clip but also over the arm so you "fix" the lead, cause if you lose the lead (as you show on 3:00) you dont have the weight anymore to pull the swivel out of the clip and it isn't a safe setup anymore, basicly you need the weight of the lead to be able to pull the leader and mainline through the clip in case when you break your mainline
Had a sample of these hit & run clips the other day. I have to say I was very impressed by them. PB Tackle are definitely one to watch for the future! 👍🏼
I see the thought process behind it but my personal point of view is that you are adding additional potential issues for core to pull free. It pulls free on the bank so much more than it does in a real angling situation
Forgetting the hit and run quality I love lead-core leaders but with a lead clip set up was never happy using it in a case of a snap off the carp trailing the leader and rig but in this set up it take those problems away similar to a helicopter set up 👌👍
Nice system for the first one but for the ring I'm not so sure The chod section, for me, need to be free on the line or leader and with the ring, it's fixed... I understand though the safety part but with a safety bead system it's work great to
Try it, the hook NEVER gets to the lead. This will def get you more landing carp. I have been a consultant in Holland for PB. And this chod system is a banger. Caught great fish on it.
Scientifically speaking what you said is impossible, you cannot pull at one end say 1 inch and more than 1 inch passes through as only 1 inch of movement has taken place. Good idea for bolt rig to turn into a running rig system. No hate intended so please don’t think I’m trying to insult. If I am wrong can you please explain. Tight lines
But the lead is gonna be dragged along the bottom 😂 so the free running principle in rubbish at that point. 😂 I wish body anglers wouldn’t talk about rigs. Stick to your magazine edits mate.
Best and safest leadclip system around!

Nice piece of kit well thought out and love the safety side for the fish 👌
I used them for a long time now, The best system on the market.
