I like the ESV and CSB. For just reading, I prefer the NLT. A lot of churches still use the KJV, NKJV, and NIV. There will probably be some that will tell you that only their version is the correct version, but they are all translations, including the KJV. So, I say you need to read in whatever version God speaks to you through. (It’s always a good idea though to have a few different translations on hand to compare verses and there are a few good Bible apps out there as well).
