Thanks for the post..I did this last Sunday and got out of Chater le street boat club took 6 hours but was fun. Do you experience seat deflating on these Itwit ones? I have Itwit 100 3 person and two of us had our air seats deflated after some time and in 2-3hrs completely flat. I checked valve etc it was all tight and in place.
@@dhruvsoft2693 Hey, I've had the 100 and X100 for a few years now, never had an issue with loosing pressure in seats. Nor friends who have the same kayaks, so not sure what's happening there !! That Durham run is a great route. Have you tried the river Tees launching from Preston Park. That is pretty special also 👍
I literally launched from next to HM passport office was super fun we were three on it and not a single puncture or leak on kayak but two seats got flat. I replaced the kayak from Argos and went to River Tyne same story 1 of two seats this time got flat😅 @@craigbloxham8328
What do you do with equipment when you stop? You won't be paddling back up the river so what do you do get someone to pick you up? Might sound like a daft question but I'm stuck to lakes or the sea as the only time I get to go out on my itiwit is when my wife's at work so she can't pick me up from another end and take me back to my car. I see you all had inflatable ones like me and they aren't that light to carry 6 mile back up stream haha
Hi Scotty, because there is more than one of us we drop a car at the end point and then all pile in with equipment into another car to the put in point. When we finish we load up the car we dropped and head back to the start to pick up that car. Obviously only an option if there is a group 🌊👌
We did this in June when the levels were quite low. Only grounded out a couple of times but still doable. Should be no problem this time of year with the rain we've had lately. It's a lovely route with stunning scenery, you will love it. Happy paddling 🌊👍
@@emmaleighton4365 Hi Emma, pleased to hear you did it and didn't have to walk any of it. Im planning going back soon. Should be nice with the autumn colours. Happy paddling 🌊
Have you guys got some form of Decathlon sponsorship deal going on? 🤪
Haha, I bought one then all my pals did the same....should be on commission !!
Looks great!
Great video. I hope to do that run myself one day soon.
Very scenic and tranquil. Get it done ✔ 👌
