The Erinthor Mountains pieces are crazy versatile. They give you negative space, elevation, traps, danger, love. Love? Yes, love. These hand-sculpted details are covered in love. But that's not what your players will think when you have kobolds coming at them from every direction.

I loved that you used just 1 set and 1 tray
The last set of DF I did was the cities KS. The past couple weeks I've been able to pick up some stuff that I missed years ago including this set, the drradhallow forest, and a few cosmetic bits (oh, and the large tower and ruined tower). I'm excited to use this terrain in my games again!
This is perfect! I have 48 kobolds just lying around and now I have an excuse to use them!

This is EXACTLY what i needed for my players next sunday. Just ordered a fairy garden boat for the players to sail with and since i have some caverns sets, instead of a little alcove at the end, im going to be adding a decent sized cave system just to add some more depth.
As soon as the first wave of kobolds engaged the party from the secret cavern entrance, the second wave of kobolds from the final cave should have dove into the water to sink the adventurers boat.
Good luck leaving with that treasure.

The first group could have deployed someone over to "check it out" and possibly do away with it then.
I had never looked at this set before the video (probably will order now) - more videos like these with low cost builds please - esp love the use of terrain trays to maximise the pieces used!

Another fabulous video :) Erinthor Mountains are the most versatile of sets. I Was not sure if I was feeling Clash of the Titans as the adventurers run from the elemental to the boat or Benny Hill!

What did Nate do before this that has given him so much insight for building?
Wouldn't the elemental just use Earth Glide and move through the ground letting it easy cut off the PC's escape?
That depends on which edition you are playing. But also any monster can be modified for a scenario. It could simply be an alternate type of earth elemental.
These are the important conversations we're trying to start with this series.
@@CarlHeyl You're probably right about the edition and variant abilities but that elemental that moves through the earth to cut off an escape the way you came would make jumping off those "high cliffs" and into the water a very reasonable means of escape.
