I just remembered you out of the blue and it's wonderful to see that you're still making videos. I remember watching you when I was a kid and your videos led me down the rabbit hole of researching and getting really into retro games. I think it's safe to say that I may not have become a game developer if it wasn't for your content. Thank you for your videos man. :)
That one scary scene in Home Alone 2 when Kevin is just walking the streets at night knowing he no longer has the option to go back to the hotel because of Tim Curry discovering he stole his dad's credit card really just made me lmao...especially when he gets in the cab and complians about how scary it is and the driver turns out to be scary too. "It ain't much better in here kid." Kevins reaction to that was funny as hell too. Priceless.
The first person u have to get away from who strangles u if u run into him must be the Tim Curry character as the hotel manager...he's definitely noticeable on the snes version.
And now, after over two years, this video finally gets the Failure Friday that it...uh...deserved? ...Well anyway yes, wow, I'd forgotten you even covered this game. But at least now we know what happened? And...uh...knowing is half the battle?
Excellent review Aqua, i had the snes version of this when i was a kid and it was equally shitty but with slightly better graphics and music, if you're a fan of the first two movies as i am i recommend the Genesis version of the original movie game, its actually pretty good.
In the first level, you can jump on the couch just past Reception, to get up to where those cherry bombs are being thrown from…I just don’t remember what is up there, I think it’s a whole pizza.
@@dragonpullman23 I must’ve missed that one. There must’ve been some kind of partnership. Why else would they use those mediocre sound effects when they could’ve stolen from Capcom, Konami, or Sunsoft?
@@subterraneanretrogames556 Yeah, there probably was a partnership between Acclaim and THQ that they used the same sound effects. That does make sense. I just remember the AVGN pointing that out during his short review of Home Alone 2 way back in 2007.
Lol this was a brutal review dude. "You go back the begining for some strange fucked up reason" "this is highly unacceptable" 😂. Yeah the elevator you actually only need to push once or twice then just wait. I had no idea how to beat that chef or that the slide is an attack. Thanks! I think the super Nintendo version is better if I remember, but this one isn't all that bad. It's challenging like Addams family.
I remember giving this garbage a try as a kid. I reached the end of the first floor, couldn't figure out that you have to spam-call the elevator and gave up on it. Looks like I made the right call.
Home Alone for the snes was trash and barely was relatable to anything in the movie except for a few little cutscenes from the movie...Home Alone 2 for the snes on the other hand was way better. As far as Home Alone and Home Alone 2 for the Sega Genesis they are both far superior and graphics are way better.

“Random dickheads in the park” Priceless! 🤣🤣 I have been watching your videos over 10 years now! You are awesome.

Hey, remember that part in the movie where Kevin fought a nun and Mary Poppins?
Love ur vids, reminds me of old school TH-cam reviews
six slices of a pizza gives you a full life? what kind of inhuman monster slices pizza into six???
Hi larry!
In Canada at a pizza's place called Uncke Fatihs, they slice a personal pizza into 6 slices.
You can tell THQ did this game because the sound effects when Kevin takes a hit etc all sound exactly like Bart VS. The Space Mutants
No both games were developed by Imagineering

I always thought Kevin looked like he has an omelette on his head in this game :))

That's only in the SNES from what I saw, there's a super fist up there from what I remember.
I remember this being pretty difficult for young me, don't think I ever got past stage 2.
I like watching people beat games that the AVGN would never finish.
Wow, this game even uses some of the same sound effects as Swamp Thing.
And all of three of The Simpsons NES games.
@@subterraneanretrogames556 Yeah, the AVGN pointed that out. I remember him accusing THQ of being thieves because of it.

" EVERYONE & EVERYTHING
IN NEW YORK CITY
IS OUT TO KILL YOU "
WELCOME TO NEW YORK
Was the SNES version of Home Alone also developed by Imagineering?
Yeah, same team.
1:12 sarcasm incoming.
I heard that the Genesis games are pretty decent.
I've played both of them. There quite frustrating.
@@TheMoogleMaster They still look more interesting than the NES or SNES games.
Maybe they could have made this game a little better by including the biggest enemy from the movie: That "Down the hall and to the left" guy

I think it could B either worms or snakes that the pigeons R dropping on U.
I rented this game once and couldn’t get passed Central Park. Cryptic BS!
I hate this game so much. That fuckin hotel 😂
To me, the worst offense is the music. That sounds awful!
The NES home alone1 is a different game than the snes one.
Is Donald Trump in the game? 🤔
lmfao
I hope so, inflation is killing right now.
Heavy Shreddin, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, and Swamp Thing all sucked
