So interesting. You’ve had an amazing journey and impressive dedication. 💕 Great info on the weight extremes and effects of blood sugar. The discipline you have shown has rewarded your efforts. I totally understand that food affects our bodies. Additionally, things like vitamin deficiencies can take their toll. So, for me, food has to be nutritious and flavorful. I so enjoy making my own Italian salad dressing. I use soothing lotion on my hands and body. Cold cream feels good on my face. Lotions are a must for me. Especially during Winter. Sunshine is an also a must whenever possible. It’s all about balance and mindfulness in my daily health. I’m a basic needs type person and thankful that I can enjoy the occasional fancier sit down meals with a dessert at restaurants. I’ve changed my lifestyle for the better since several years ago when my husband and I ate out so often. Especially when we travelled. Then, at home, there was pizza every Friday night. I love my new routine and am maintaining a healthy diet. Thanks for creating awareness on this topic. You look marvelous❣️ 👍😍❤️
I really needed this chat today . I am pre diabetic. I am seeing an endocrinologist. I couldn’t take Metformin, it really did a number on my stomach. I then was given Ozempic, that didn’t work either , l broke out in a rash all over my body . My husband said to me that there is no quick answer and that l should just put down the fork and go for a walk daily . I have a huge appetite. I am determined to try to eat healthier and start moving more. I have no excuses now that l moved to FL from NJ . I need to get serious. Thank you for posting and suggesting the doctors to follow . 🥰
Thanks so much Deb!! Wishing you all the best!! You can reverse Type 2!! Cut sugar, carbs and seed oils. Eating good fats keeps you full longer. I saw too many of my patients with Type 2 go downhill and have vision issues and dialysis. It’s all about the diet. 🥰🥰🥰
Hi Bonnie!! 👏👏Wonderful video!! Bonnie, I have you to thank for turning me on to Keto! I lost 20lbs sorta quick, I had to take a pause and do a low carb maintenance diet for a few months so my body could catch up. I am to that place and will be going back on full Keto again soon. I feel better, I have asthma so I breathe better and move easier of course. I'd love another video on Keto, it's major festinating! Thank you for reliable people to watch and God bless you Bonnie!! I hope your surgery went well, if it's happened yet and see you soon with another video!!
Thanks so much Rose!! Am so glad Keto helps you and congrats on your weight loss!! Am 4 days out of surgery and doing pretty well!! Thanks so much for your well wishes!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Bonnie, you make some really good points in this video. It's definitely worth trying out and seeing if dietary changes lead to better health for those of us that are of that mindset. And I agree, it's not about how you look, but how you feel. So far I don't take or need any meds and all my bloodwork is on target, but why not be proactive about it. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hi, Bonnie, The saying goes you are what you eat. Eatiing well is essential to a well functioning body.Vitamins are helpful to make up for deficiencies. Everyones body is different but eating well is good advice for anyone. Thanks for sharing.❤❤
Hi Bonnie, I always enjoy hearing about your health journey and the steps you've taken. Sugar is my big issue starting with coffee in the morning. I wish I could find something that I like just as much. I hope you are healing well after your surgery. It was good to see you at my premiere the other day. Thinking of you. 💖
Thanks for sharing your health journey with us. I do intermittent fasting (12 pm to 6pm) and try to eat unprocessed as much as possible and have lost 40 pounds. I also try to walk 2 miles every day. I find this is something I can live with. Hope you are doing well after surgery.
Thanks so much Anastasia!! You are on the right track!! So proud of you!! Am doing pretty well and know it will take time!! Thanks for your well wishes!!🥰🥰🥰
Hi Bonnie! Perfect New Year video! Thank you for sharing your story. I've been off the wagon again. Generally, I do keto - because I feel better. My husband is bipolar. He has been doing keto to help from going manic. Dr. Chris Palmer and others are really talking about mental illness being a metabolic disease. My biggest craving is popcorn. Any suggestions for the salty butter crunchy craving?
Thanks Patti!! It’s ok, just try again!! Happy it helps your hubby!! So funny you said popcorn, as I really miss it. I love the Quest chips. It helps my Dorito addiction!! A piece of bacon helps with the crunchy salty cravings 🥰🥰🥰
PS one of my favorite treats is one that my Turkish friend got me into . It’s half of an avacado ( she sprinkles it with sea salt ) and then drizzles the Avacado with pistachio oil. I don’t know if that oil is good for you , and it is almost impossible to find . I might be switching to walnut oil.
Bonny, you do what works for you dear friend.
It's clearly working for you.
Well done....
Keep it up....❤🎉
Thanks so much Jarrod!!🥰🥰🥰
