    A few notes of the improved firmware edits: we greatly improved APRS receiving stability and firmware reliability. The DMR-6X2 PRO has true ad-hoc without any time out, Store and forward repeater option, priority scan and linked multi scan groups, and our programming CPS has easy descriptions written in the US for simpler use. There are also minor convenience changes such as allowing for a daytime/night-time display, analog squelch can be adjusted from a side key press, and linked scanning groups and other simple user convenience tweaks. Oh and of course... we have an earpiece included 😂😂

    One thing I liked on the original 6X2 was they shipped with two batteries, a base 2100 mAH and extended 3100 mAH. Sad they don't include both now, as the extended one feels rather thick in my hand. The original 6X2 could also import an 878 plug, so that would be something to try here as well.
    The original 6X2 also had much better scanning features than the 878UV, namely that channels could have multiple scan groups, ad-hoc TG entry from the keypad, and priority channel scan. I'd be surprised if that's not the case of the Pro vs the XVII.

    • @JimVajda82
      @JimVajda82 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ad-hoc talkgroup selection is a killer feature and the 6X2 PRO has it as well. My channel list is a lot more manageable now. Those other software features you mentioned are in the PRO as well.

  • @yaroze
    @yaroze 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I am pretty sure this is a rebadged Anytone, the battery that you pulled out of the box is the same model as the the one that just came with my AT-D878UVII Plus, the QB-44HL, the rest of the accessories, also look like the same, even the bluetooth headset, even the manual looks to be the same, except for the branding on it. If that is true, then hey for a little less $$, for pretty much the same radio, that is cool, hopefully you get a chance to play with the code plugs to see how much difference there is in firmwares.

    • @JaronActual
