This song reminds me of my best friend who passed away on April 6 1991. He was only 19. Only the good die young. His band was Aerosmith and loved the Boston Bruins.

2010 gt. I get it brother. This came on after 8 years of Walking the day I bought mine. I held it together. Teary eyed bold and brave I flirted with the limits of the car .it was perfect for a moment I felt no pain. Just the crackle of the exhaust. The song. And knew the dream only dies if we kill it. 🤘🏻🦅🇺🇸
i remember this italian friend i had who got caught up in a gang war and died because of it. it was so sad because he never really went to school or had a good family but he did get taught math when he could though he really loved Aerosmith and he was only 17
That is cool to hear. Man, I am still sad about ur friend tho. I really hope he likes to eat orange because I am eating one right now in tribute for him!
Played this at my father's funeral ...brings a tear to my eye and a tear in my heart everytime I hear it he was an amazing man it just reminds me how inferior I am to his legacy he was killed by a drunk driver when I was a young man I have yet to be able to fill the gap in my life it created I have dishonored him by becoming a worthless alcoholic myself as a father of 7 I try every day to even come close to being the man he was and I continually fail ...don't ever take your fathers for granted please don't no matter what you think now please kids they love you more than you could ever know and once they're gone it's too late I know this was about a song but it brings back memories that I hope will help other people my father would have wanted it that way ...love to all and respect to many

Steven Tyler & Klaus Meine are both born in the same year of 1948 DREAM ON (1973) The lead singer of Aerosmith, Steven Tyler, wrote "Dream On"", it took him SIX YEARS, on & off Six year guy! This is evidence that nothing amazing is created overnight. Be patient. keep chipping away at your dreams. STILL LOVING YOU (1984) Rudolf Schenker revealed that it took six years to come up with the song. I came up with the composition's melody and everything. It took about six years of trying to get the song somehow on the album. Mathias Jabs came in with the guitar part, and the feeling was immediately right, so Klaus (Meine) noticed it was right. The Amazing & The Magnificent
On this day in 1973 {December 15th} Aerosmith performed {lip-synced} "Dream On" on the late Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'... Two months earlier on October 20th it entered Bilboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #59 and spent 9 weeks on the Top 100... Three years later on January 10th, 1976 it re-entered the Top 100; this time it reached #6 and stayed on the Top 100 for 20 weeks... Also in 1976 it reached #10 on the Canadian RPM Tracks chart... R.I.P. Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012}...
Yeah it's all the same generation....but know this ..my mom Rocks the drum's !! In real life. She is my hero. Love you mom. And since AEROSMITH is ftom our STATE. I'LL NEVER FORGET
I was in class today then I heard this song thru the wall and put my ear closer to hear it better, till the teacher asked what I was doing and I told him someone is listening to Aerosmith. He then told the class to be quiet so we could hear this song:)
wow. nobody knows about CLASSIC Aerosmith?!!? this isht is GREAT rock n roll kids. gotta get with some CLASSIC Aerosmith. This CD is all u need. get it. live it. love it. peace.
i agree. Just because time a changes music, doesnt mean it always gets worse. there's always been bad music. we just don't like to remember it. Thats why i listen to classical music sometimes. It has survived the ages, and is still worth remembering, and cause I really like strings
im agreeing with you 100%, and i would like to add that at 1 time all the bands that you named were "new music" and some of it, and the "new music " are stapled in society and our lives forever. BIG UPs for sticking up for young people. Music is for everyone to enjoy.
crazy memories related to this song, my mum always blared this when she would get shit faced which was often. Coming out to see the house trashed find you passed out maybe beaten maybe just drunk, who knows... you know its true all the fears come back to you...maybe tomorrow the good lord will take me away.
THIS is the version! Has that loud resonating bass note at 1:38 which identifies the mix and sets it apart from the 1973 single and album track and the 1976 reissue single (as well as the LP reissue that same year) THIS has all the highs cranked up so you can hear all the parts. For some reason there are some mixes that are just low-fi and distorted with hardly any volume. They sound like mud! THIS one sounds like the band is in the room! Very cool!
lol, "every time i look in the mirror, these lines in my face are getting clearer " I hope everyone realizes the reason the lines are getting clearer are because he was snorting them
