@@hammackj Maybe they mean because PoP comes out with pets that are close in power to epic. Pretty sure you still need 1.0 for 1.5 epic anyway though unless you want to do the prequest.
I have planned to do these quests for my s(m)olo Mage, but he is currently stuck in Gloomingdeep at lvl 8 while I play my box (that has a mage and necro in it) :)
@@hammackj Haha. I think he is still lvl 8 😂 But he has most of the quest-items already in the bank. I’m mostly playing my 6-box which I post a few updates about in your Discord
Good question. Looking up the shovel one here shows a lvl 33 min. everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=697. I suspect that is about right. I didn’t do them till 60.
I found the pet fairly useless when grinding in chardok. Never close enough to melee and nukes are slower. Vs the constant spam of attacks from the air elem / epic pet.

Blow past these levels so fast on a TLP… like a week, maybe 2 weeks till your 50+… only good if it’s an alt
They are required for the mage epic. Most main mages try to get it. Not sure what you mean only good for an alt.

Yeah limited use spell wise, still a good item for a bit Kunark/Vel maybe luclin plus having it doene for the 1.5 when that comes out.

If you are in a 6 group or not using pet to tank go for fire pet :)
