The TBM video comes out on the 14th, it was still processing when I started scheduling these next few videos. It covers all the armor and the quests to start it. Thank you for watching!
One thing I'd add is the EOK (or Yuki...hehe) chase loot weapons/gear. When they made that they WAY over statted the gear and made all the raiders /cry. The current chase loot from ToV and later is not as good (rougly equal to the lowest tier raid loot) , but the EOK chase loot was equal to the highest tier raid loot. It might be a decent option for bazz gear if you have 200k or so to burn on a piece. I have a Ranger with the Skybarrage bow and I didn't see a T1 group gear weapon that was really much better until ToV, and even that bow wasn't "that" much better. It wasn't until I saw the T1 bow drop from Rildar in WW (CoV zone) that made me think..."OK yes...now THIS is a solid upgrade for my Ranger!" The same can be said for the pet class em earring chase loot, as far as longevity, but those earrings hold value a lot better than other class gear because of the popularity of pet classes. (EOK chase loot earring was em24 and you don't match that until you get the T2/T3 earring in TOL) That is a lot of value from gear you get way back in Yuki! (EOK) hehehe So it might be an option in some particular cases...situation depending. Rock on man, video is a keeper!
I guess I should have mentioned the Chase Loot(TM) but it is so rare, I'd say it is hard to obtain for most people. Take the Pet earring, on Bristlebane last night someone wanted 24KR for the IE and I have seen the BS for 80KR, and most BS items are in the 4-10KR range. Pretty crazy numbers. I'll dig deeper into the EOK stuff and see what I can add to the video for the next update for TOL2. Thank you for the kind words.
@@hammackj The EOK chase loot isn't horrible anymore. It's not uncommon to see some going for about the same, or less, than the current group attuneable drops from TOL on the bazzar on the CT server. Heck I had to sell a chase loot sword I got in WW for like 300-400k or something just to get rid of it.
You say valor gear for the non-tank chars. What gear would you go with 75-100 with a tank SK? Also since the valor gear is pretty expensive points wise, Which parts would you buy first? The visible gear pieces or the other stuff?
TBM is the best, there are some side things you can do like the Seeds of destruction expansion quest rewards paragon armor which is pretty good. In my sons of thule series that is what I target. TBM is progressive armor that you can upgrade. there is a video on that here also. Otherwise you are going to want to follow each expansion band for gear. IE 85-90 House of Thule armor until 106 where you can get conflagrant armor until 110 with the TOV armor and 115 COV and 120 TOL
If you have the tradeskill gear from the previous expansion, the T1 gear in CoV is only barely better. The tradeskill gear is easier to get from the previous honestly. However, if you have access to the first luclin expansion, getting gear there is a heck of a lot easier than doing CoV at all. The difficulty was definitely a step down and I just skipped cov gear altogether.
Hi! I used to play eq waaay back in 2002 and ive decided to return and play it again. Im just wondering...am i gonna be alone for all the game? Do people still level grind amd party? This game has huge nostalgia for me and id love to play again...i just dont wanna play alone.
I think for your situation a TLP would be best. A new one starts in May if you want to try that. I personally like live, I usually box or solo so that works for me. On FV or Bristlebane you might find a guild that might have people at early levels. You might end up in a situation where a higher level is power leveling their lower level characters. Let me know if you have more questions I will try to help out.
I came back last week on mischief server but wasn't enjoying it. I then decided to try out Firiona Vie server and now have 2 characters that are 70+. I've managed to find several groups along the way, and groups happen more often at higher levels. Lower levels people have power levelers or mercs but if you look around you can find folks leveling. If you're on FV look me up Chetney 72 bst
@@drgncore1 interesting. I just started on Mischief myself. I like it so far. I have my original characters from Eci Which is Tunare now since the merge. I could go back to play there but decided to start fresh. What made you change from Mischief?
Maybe with an enchanter and a merc you could do the first into the hills. I have never tried with a enchanter solo. Necro was cake solo. I’d probably multi box it if u have characters. You could also solo in house of Thule or veil of alaris zones. Which would be easier. I focused a lot on multibox in this guide so it’s skewed. I plan on updating it soon.
@@WrightsOrganic Enchanters are a little iffy, I mean if you were really good with it back in the day, you'll be fine, cuz you know, enchanters are... different. House of thule is actually pretty easy, solo pulls are everywhere and only the nameds will hit very hard... they do hit hard though, so be careful. But they are common so you'll get lots of gear. Fear Itself will get you to 95ish pretty quickly. However, TBM (broken mirror) is really much much better gear, that will last until 105, just swapping augments. And those zones are real easy at 75, because 115 buffs stick starting at 75. Mobs hit you for 1k, and take 7k in return. Thus, when you have 60k hps fully buffed and geared, it's mathematically impossible to die in those zones. Somebody didnt think the scaling through. However, even 1 extra level is very noticable on difficulty. there's like a 50% increase on incoming damage at 76, and as you get closer to 80 you wont be able to solo at all. As odd as it sounds, If you dont want to play a different character, find yourself a necromancer, and feed him soul emeralds... to get geared. Would of course just be easier to make a 75 on a FTP account and drag your main through with it. You just wait for final hand in to zone the main in and grab the loot and get the currency.
@@hohenzollern6025 Ok awesome! I’m 89 at the moment. I should be able to solo in Fear Itself? Till 95? Also should I use a merc? I will most likely solo till 95 and then start building another toon. Do you meaning starting necro at 85 and have him solo?
When they added defiant gear, it should have *just* been augments to bring old gear "up to speed" stat-wise, instead of defiant being weapons and armor that made 95% of the old world gear completely irrelevant. And, I know they added augs too.. I just mean they really missed the target there, and just did what they always do, stretch the game even thinner and take meaning out of content
I think they tried that in TBM with augs determining the gear level, not sure how it was received when it came out. You are right though all the gear outside defiant is very weak until 75ish.
@@hammackj I'd be using things like the polished granite tomahawk, but with good stats.. Lol.. + anyone who was lucky enough to still have a moss covered twig
i dont see how you can do gribble at 75 i got my ass kicked at 85. Are all you vid based on 3 to 4 boxing if so you really need to say or is this game so dead that you got to box it now
I've soloed/duo/trio/6box gribbles at 75. Solo;'d on necro and monk. All my content can be done with 1 to 6 characters boxed or real. Obviously mercs where usable. What class are you having issues with at 85?

Appreciate the videos! Getting back into EQ after 20ish years. Definitely need to find the discords and other ways people connect
I have a discord, there is an official everquest discord and any guild you join should have a discord. That will help you connect with players.

Thank you. Let me know if you have any requests.

Yes. What did I say? I may have misspoke
Snowsquall (T1 group from CoV) is much better than snowbound and wearable at 110, how hard is it to get?
Depends on your group / wallet. Pretty sure its tradable so you can buy the containers and the ore from the bazzar/vendors.
