For anyone wondering about Kripps comment on the Hong Kong situation:
"You guys know me for a decade now. You know I generally don’t get into serious non-gaming issues on stream, TH-cam, or socials. This isn’t because I don’t have opinions, it is because I try to create chill and entertaining content, and give you guys a place to relax and feel comfortable. With that said, I want to be clear that I support those protesting in Hong Kong. With such a large part of their country pushing for change, they are, and deserve to be on the right side of history.
I haven't been involved with competitive esports Hearthstone for years now, but Hearthstone for me is much more than their esports division and their recent poor decision making. I invite Blizzard to reconsider their position. Sure, they are in the entertainment space, so they want to keep anything that isn’t about Hearthstone out of their official broadcast, but the penalty on Blitzchung and the casters seems just too over the top. All of us who have spent the best part of our lives on Battlenet expect better out of Blizzard."

It's not just spells. I drafted a Paladin/Druid mix and was only offered class cards about 1/3 of the time. It's pretty much all or nothing with the tempo game in arena and if you lose it's impossible to come back.

first draft warrior druid: 2x deathbite, 2x sylvanas, twig of world tree, reno, rafam 12win
second draft hunter paladin: sylvanas, valanir, vinecleaver, lich king 12 wins
third draft warrior rogue no legendaries just insane curve 12 wins.
in this meta i've been drafting a couple of 1 mana 2/1's, ofc zombie chow if offered, 3 mana 4/3s , shredders, fungals, anything to curve out and allow you to trade up if needed will carry you the game

Well yeah that's reasonable strat if you don't play arena but it's overall hard to be f2p without that game mode. Sure you can wait for better meta if it sucks but not endlessly.
@@arnaudthouvenot929 But if you're 11/2, wouldn't it be stupid to let it sit 'til the end of the month? You'd void your net positive rewards by doing so, since all you'd receive is a ticket. Bad runs are the only context where the waiting strategy makes sense.

Guys, please remember, it's great that many of u are choosing to boycott blizzard. I'm currently doing the same. However, it's possible to still support creators that you enjoy watching like kripp or kibler, both of whom have released statements condemning Blizzard and their overreactions. It's not as if they don't play other games like mtg, you can't possibly expect them to just drop hearthstone completely, that's part of their livelihood.
And unless you're watching purely for hearthstone content, you'll still be able to enjoy kripp's salty down-to-earth personality

I consider myself a pretty lucky guy when drafting decks, most of em are insane ngl, but this arena rotation hit HARD, all of my decks are trash tier ;-;
Yeah this time it's meta all around luck in draft. I almost always have bad luck in drafts so i'm not sure if i want to touch mine 7.9 avg xd I drafted only 9 decks so far due to it but scored above 67 dp once. Doesn't feel great.
@Junius Argonon I pass as well. Today my second best draft dual class with 68.1 dp went 4-3 and i played with lower dp 6 out of 7 games - i memorized most of cards dp so it's easy to tell - couple against 72 dp decks and higher. There is no point to play arena right now - either you get lucky drafts or you get fucked. No skill level can help you. It's starts getting critical as 3 including this one out of last 4 metas were terrible and i'm not sure if people will accept hibernating for another 2 months. Thanks godness we had 1,5 month break otherwise would be hell. I'm still worried that if arena after dual class stays as bad f2p players may be unable to play new expansion. Well not "may" they "will" unless they accumulated earlier a LOT OF resources...

I tried only once so far. Priest-Mage. What a terrible selection. I got one single buff spell as an option, and no legendaries. All my choices were either bad or terrible cards. I got perhaps 2 cards with an arena score of 70? The first one I face off against was a paladin who top-decked a couple legendaries and buffed his minions with spells every other turn. I don't think I made it past turn 7. Super fun...

I got perfectly countered in all my first two games, they had the kill dragon, kill beast, eat secrets cards so i failed so fast
Yeh, I hate the dragonslayer card. Makes hungry dragonthat spawns a 1 drop and the dragon that gives two coins extremely risky to draft at all, and they were already risky to begin with.

Watching that last game reminded me on how sad Bolf is. He could have been a decent card if he had taunt so he wouldn't just get killed by minions smorcing, but no.

I played Mage/warrior(hero pow) got a meteor and that was it, couple battlecry minions but overall the deck has an insane 2/3 curve and some pretty hefty big bois in the back like good ol' FORCETANK MAX i think it was called lol. Its been pretty fun, nontheless. I aint deleting my battlenet over the HK situation thats extreme to give a company all the money for games/products and let them keep all of it. Hell naw, lol. I will be a lot more... f2p though :^)

So much RNG in this arena, holy crap. Your opponents have perfect ramp & draws, and always have an answer. You can get an amazing deck with multiple legendaries, and it still won't be enough because your opponents have an even crazier deck, or just better luck.
You are semi wrong. This is extremelly low dp meta with bad spell occurance and no bucket system which makes things worse. RNG game wise is pretty low with low win more occurance which is indicator of healthy meta however card quality is weaker with less answers so any curvestone might straight forward kill you. Second issue is that due to things above and couple more dp difference matters much more than usual. Normally line between clearly unwinable games lies around 9-10 dp difference, now it's half of it. So RNG draftwise is indeed off the roof and here you are right.
All in all quite bad meta but still much better than last couple weeks after patch. Feels like they went from one extremes to another.

He needs to make a living, and with Hearthstone, what he is known for, he makes the most amount of money so let him play hearthstone. It is basically what he is known for, Hearthstone. His opinion shouldn't matter. Him making great content is what matters and perhaps in the far future he may have an opinion. Let him make money to take care of his own family.

Yeh, the new arena is pretty whack. Just don't play around anything and hope for the best. It's kind of liberating knowing flamestrike/hellfire/brawl/etc don't exist. Like the only aoe from hand is the 7 cost demon, the 3 cost mage guy, blood razor, the two priest 6 spells, defile, and the 6 cost murloc. Based on that knowledge, warlock and priest are probably above average. I do think hunter hero power is excellent though. Plenty of games are easy wins by hitting that button late game.

They effectively get to trade with bolf for free, he's a 6 mana 0/9 taunt to your opponent.
@@geasslelouch Yeah I realised that. I think they should change Bolf so that it deals damage to the minions when they attack.... otherwise its quite a worthless card

Issue with arena right now is sth else than spell occurance. Yeah it's unbalanced but it's not the biggest issue. Real issues are no bucket system and much lower dp difference than usual to autolose the game. Meta is better than last one after patch but unfortunately not by much. I'm not sure if it's good enough to make the big dogs bark again.
