All the following extras are included in the price of the new launch model Y; full self driving($8000), any paint color($1,000-$2000), 20 inch wheels($2000), white seats($1000), trailer hitch($1000). That’s up to $14,000 of options included in the price of almost $60,000! If you add up the starting price of the old model Y of $48,000 and add to that $14,000 of options it gives you a price of $62,000 for the old model Y with all of the options; thus making the new launch model Y $2000 cheaper if you take all of those options (not to mention all of the upgrades from the old to the new model Y). I’m buying one. 😊.
The launch edition also includes acceleration boost ($2000) and it also includes a mobile charger ($275) making it a better deal if you want a loaded vehicle..
The US Launch Edition has colors as price options, not included in cost and no Glacier Blue. The charger is not included. Also hitch option is just that an option to be paid for.
No glacier blue on the US site. I think the full self driving is going to be the deciding factor for a lot of people. If you want FSD, the price is not bad. At least on my 2019, it does not seem suited to the back roads that I mostly travel. If your driving is most highways it might be worth it.
Buying the launch edition means you’ll loss more money on resale because the average person doesn’t give a shit if it’s the launch edition. Nothing is free your paying for it.
True, but it includes metallic, a tow hitch and 20 inch wheels. All options that would take the price almost to that level on the standard long range. Some people just have to be first and pay for it!

Great clips EV. Really like my 2023 2 motor Model Y. Biggest issues with it are difference b/n stated and actual range, recommended 80% charging max and severe depreciation. There is no way I'd buy another until the batteries improve. FSD is cool and has improved a lot but still too glitchy. Doing it over, I'd pay half the price and buy used.
If you compare the Juniper to the competition as to specs it is a little bit disappointing. No 800V architecture, no 48V low voltage, no real battery upgrade (have to see what Berlin does), no power train upgrade, no steer by wire... But yes a price gain. Your G6 is a better option at this point.
The Launch Edition is a great deal. A lot of buyers will be very happy with this refresh. Also, you get the mobile charger included. There is a silver coating built into the glass roof now...eliminating the need for a sun shade. It also come with premium floor mats, but I prefer all weather. In the UK, the launch version includes options that would mean it’s only £2,000 more than a same spec old version. Headline price looks bad, but it’s not.
@@oliyile365 You can’t get FSD in the UK for a start and I just went on the UK site to get the numbers. Just select the old model Y, add Quicksilver paint, tow hitch and 20 inch wheels and you get a price just under £58,000. The launch version, with all these included is just over £60,000. It’s all there. I wouldn’t get one anyway, I’d wait and go for the base version when it’s out.
Musk's behavior completely alienates the very market he needs to sell evs. Truly, a revolting individual with far too much power! Time for a reality check.
In the UK, we have a ‘launch version’ for £60,000, but it includes metallic, a tow hitch and 20 inch wheels. If you added these to an older model Y long range, it would be £58,000, so not much of a price increase at all really. Take what Sam is saying with a pinch of salt, he’s just putting up a sensationalist headline for clicks, it’s not reality.
Europe has the worst deal ! Launch serie incluses a set of winter tires but only two color options, only one rim option, and no FSD or even Enhanced autopilot. For 62000€
Will MEGA buy the new Model Y? Elon wants to get out of the volatile POV sales sooner than later and full self driving will allow the shift into fleet sales only. The second market disruption in developed country auto sales/manufacturing in less than three decades.
With the 7.5k tax credit and taking into account 8k FSD, all the free paint options, tow hitch, white seats, chargers included, it's not that bad of a price. Like 44k or so.
Definitely worth the asking price. In terms of increase vs the previous generation in Australia at least it is about on par when you consider 20 inch alloys are no cost nor is paint and performance upgrade. Faster, quieter, more comfortable, more premium more like a new generation than an update.
I was looking forward to this car, but Elon Musk's Hitler salute and open support for right-wing extremists such as Alternative für Deutschland etc. makes it impossible for me to buy it.
It'll be interesting to see how many Tesla's destroyed by the California wild-fires will be replaced with new Teslas? Will Democrats want to be seen in one and can Republicans be seen driving an electric car? Going by the comments here, it seems as though Musk has rendered Tesla as a tainted brand for many people. Keep an eye on the sales in Germany.
I will wait for the lower priced rear wheel version. They are supposedly making the car for less money, due to more efficient manufacturing methods, so the price should reflect that. I heard that the suspension was not a new suspension but simply tuned differently to achieve a smoother ride. If the price of the lowest version goes up $5,000 then there will be many people that cannot afford it. Thought Tesla's goal was to get more people driving EVs. They have the margins to keep this new version at least the same price like they did for the Model 3. I do not need or want to pay for options I don't need. Looking to buy when a $40 k version (after rebate) is available. If the rebate is removed I will continue driving my 2010 Camry which has been great with nothing but minimal maintenance. Much less than they claim on EV sales pitches. I want to go Tesla but I don't want to be taken advantage of so Elon can fund Trump. Hope he sticks to his electrification of earth , as he explained in his Duex plan, and focus a little less on Mars and politics. The electrification mission has taken a backseat to obtaining power. Buying a Tesla may be seen as agreeing with that. I don't, but it is the best and safest car in the world so I may still buy one.
To me the biggest omission is Glacier Blue is not (initially) offered in the North American market. Hopefully it will be offered later on after the Launch series is done.
guys , can you help me ? i'm thinking about bying a used model 3 140 000 km long range for about 18000 euros. I'm thinking on 7 years with 20k km a year it would be the same cost as my actual ranault clio 3 wich i can still sold for 6k euros (low millage). Do you think this is a good idea or a bad idea ?
When I was a young kid, I knew great grandparents and neighbors who actually fought in Europe and Asia against fascism. We a great uncle died fighting fascism and his body was never found. And, I actually knew someone who had been at Auschwitz and had the tattoo. Knowing people who had participated in such a momentous war was one of the factors that led me to get a degree in history. I still read at least one book on history per month, though subsequent degrees were in science. And since Trump came in the scene in 2015, I’ve read a lot about how fascism rose in Italy and Germany. As Twain said, history doesn’t repeat but itself but it sure does rhyme. A lot of Kiwis and Australians died alongside French and British and Americans and others fighting fascism, and over 50 million people were killed in all. Thirty five thousand Australians died in battle or in Japanese prisoner of war camps, and 20 thousand more were injured. And now that fascism has come to the US, and because Musk (and Bezos, Zuckerberg, etc) is helping finance that rise. I understand my Grandfather now, who never talked about the war, but who thirty years after, still got tight lipped every time he saw a German or Japanese car. Germany and Japan have reformed and redeemed themselves, and one of the cars I own now is a Honda. But I can’t unsee the Hitler salute I saw Musk do on stage, twice. And I cannot help but see a swastika every time I see a Tesla. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Fascism has come to the US and I am trying to stand against it. I would consider buying Starlink again, or purchasing a Tesla if Musk is removed from the companies and if Tesla publicly repudiates fascism.
Name me one TH-camr that reports on this stuff that hasn't placed their order.. they re all itching to get their hands on one so they can make more content and make more money to get the next gadget.. mobile phones are peanuts compared to now cars being last years latest and greatest gizmo
Sorry, personally still find Teslas rather unappealing design-wise … and I want buttons … and stalks … things that work in coldest winter (even with gloves on) … and, really, who needs 0-100 in 4 seconds (9 or 10 is more then enough) … so, I’m waiting for a legacy automaker to integrate Tesla FSD plus TESLA supercharger (V4) compatibility and then let the car look like a nice classic car (SUV).
I've been holding out for the new Y, but with the high premium and continued wait time, I will likely go with a Hyundai or Kia since the 3 is too small for me.
Guys wait until everyone Start receiving deliveries then look in the used market for model 3/Y You ll buy them for half the price, if not less. The initial depreciation on this launch series is gonna be steep, absolutely not worth it, and in a couple of years it will get outdated if we get robotaxis.
..if it was for the brilliant vision, bravery, engineering and management skills of Elon Musk, there would be NO Tesla and no where near the level of EV's that are now being introduced worldwide by so many manufacturers including Tesla.. When I'm spending my own money, I want to buy the best product available..I couldn't care a jot on the politics of any CEO..Get a life man, and buy 2 of the best EV's money can buy, if that's what you like..No one else cares..Jeez..the woke mindset is frightening..!
You care more about holding onto hate than about ending racism and having human rights for everyone? I guess that is one way to go... Just keep your head in the sand and keep living in opposite land where you support racism, bigotry, bullying, hate and division while thinking you are on the side of love... Somehow, the propaganda will prove you right one day...

53% more than what I paid for the 2023 MY awd LR. It seems like a lot and too pricey, 34,300 vs 52,500. I got a big inventory discount and the EV rebate, you won’t get discounts on the new one but you will get more options.

• 10x improved connectivity to phone so car will recognize your phone from farther away
• Two new wheel designs that better optimize battery life
• New Tesla lettering replaces rear Tesla logo badge
• Car is 1.6" longer overall
• Front light bar with an overall slimmer and sleeker front car design
• New "TESLA" logo on steering wheel
The new Model Y is even cheaper than the old considering all options - color, wheels, white interior, FSD, and even tow package are included.
viking is gonna have to make a lot youtube videos to buy one.. maybe he can sell his cybertruck that is not even deliverd yet.. it's a way to keep messing around with cars for sure
cybertruck is not legal in Australia and never will be.
the sharp panels alone mean it could never pass our standards.
Plus, you get the free towing
Real price will come in few monthes
Bigger wheels is not good for range
The launch series price doesn't justify in Europe, which doesn't include FSD.
In the UK, the launch version includes options that would mean it’s only £2,000 more than a same spec old version. Headline price looks bad, but it’s not.
@ISuperTed No I can't see that in UK site, 9k more without FSD
@@oliyile365 You can’t get FSD in the UK for a start and I just went on the UK site to get the numbers. Just select the old model Y, add Quicksilver paint, tow hitch and 20 inch wheels and you get a price just under £58,000. The launch version, with all these included is just over £60,000. It’s all there. I wouldn’t get one anyway, I’d wait and go for the base version when it’s out.
@@ISuperTed I see, I'm going for M3 Highland 😉
@@oliyile365 I test drove one - great car but no stalks was a bit weird!
Waiting for Su7 max
Isn't it around 37k USD in china?
The price include FSD and charger so it's a unique bundle of the launch series, similar to the Cybertruck foundation series
FSD will never be allowed to go driverless on regular street cars! Elon is a conman!
Wonder if it's sales will be similar to cybertruck ...... less than expected
The launch series price doesn't justify in Europe which doesn't include FSD.
@@oliyile365
It's better and cheaper in China compared to uaaasss, guess Europeans can't complain.
Some were waiting for the model double S
The new Mein Kampfwagon.
Let's go!
What’s your point?
Opposite land is not reality!!! Attacking loving and caring human beings makes you the bad guy!
LETS GOOOOOOOOO, GERMANY MISS OUT AGAIN
Is 84k in Canadian
Tesla is all those things like an ETF
We will wait another 6 to 12 months once the price drop to 40k usd or lower only then will consider to buy
Musk's behavior completely alienates the very market he needs to sell evs. Truly, a revolting individual with far too much power! Time for a reality check.
FSD costs 8 grand by itself
In the UK, we have a ‘launch version’ for £60,000, but it includes metallic, a tow hitch and 20 inch wheels. If you added these to an older model Y long range, it would be £58,000, so not much of a price increase at all really.
Take what Sam is saying with a pinch of salt, he’s just putting up a sensationalist headline for clicks, it’s not reality.
I could buy his and hers Attos for that price.
What are your thoughts on new batteries? Disappointing nothing was mentioned here. Revised car, old batteries 😢
Makes sense. Otherwise no one would buy the remaining older stock.
Europe has the worst deal ! Launch serie incluses a set of winter tires but only two color options, only one rim option, and no FSD or even Enhanced autopilot. For 62000€
The new Model Y in RHD is now in Malaysia at Tesla Showroom.
About $200,000 USD?
I'm going for Xpeng g6, better car
More people than ever now consider buying a Tesla after Elon's clear political positioning.
Yes, many people I know chose other brands because of his extreme views
I also don't like the political positioning. However, I think Musk is just a shareholder now and not directly involved.
Tesla is increasing prices to compensate for massive sales drop in 2025. We’re talking 15-20% less volume!
He is not on any government payroll.
@dr.x4050 😂😂😂 keep trying keep failing
Trumpet approved 😂
In Europe we have just got Juniper on sale, delivery in march, similar prices to the old one but for now the cheapest is the LR RWD.
Keep it real. The Y price includes FSD and all options. When the normal versions are available they'll be just barely more than the old version.
The launch edition, available in March is actually $54,310 after the $7500 federal tax rebate.
Yup, a lot of chatter about the credit going away, yet no mention that it's a real process to do it.
66000 USD here in Poland 🤯
Definitely worth the asking price. In terms of increase vs the previous generation in Australia at least it is about on par when you consider 20 inch alloys are no cost nor is paint and performance upgrade. Faster, quieter, more comfortable, more premium more like a new generation than an update.
I was looking forward to this car, but Elon Musk's Hitler salute and open support for right-wing extremists such as Alternative für Deutschland etc. makes it impossible for me to buy it.
It wasn’t a hitler salute. He was saying ‘my heart goes out to you’. The man is awkward with slight autism. Stop listening to fake news garbage media
What's extreme about them?
@ Whats not. Even Marine Le Pen think they are too extreme to deal With.
Buy one,you got two "refugees "two" oppressed minorities "and "two lbqt+ ".
$halom.
@barddyrdal1232 what makes her an authority to define extreme?
Tesla's seem so dated and boring. Not a bad car but too expensive for me. Add to the increased insurance cost I will just keep my Santa Fe.
Unless this rides like a Lexus the improvements are not enough
It can drive itself so it drives much much better than a Lexus
The biggest headwind Tesla has is Elon.
Lol. What?
Can we sue you for bad investment advice?
Sam, if the EV rebate goes away, will this hold up the prices of used teslas that aren’t eligible for the rebate?
But the original lights looked better. Look like lights
In Holland you can order one i just waiting for the model Q
Dont Ever buy a used EV, ... never, ever ... money pits
Moron
Elon is MAGA
You saw what you wanted to see.
The left calls everyone they don't like a fascist, that's all they got. Buy a BYD and be morally pure. Or a Chevy bolt
I wish someone would inform Musk & the US auto makers that not everyone has a 6 figure income. Must be nice to live in a bubble.
@@dochi1958 you can't sell things to people who don't have money.

Oh no! 🤡
Name me one TH-camr that reports on this stuff that hasn't placed their order.. they re all itching to get their hands on one so they can make more content and make more money to get the next gadget.. mobile phones are peanuts compared to now cars being last years latest and greatest gizmo
Not worth the price increase
You forgot to mention it comes with FSD included.
he cant be too positive because he likely gets funded by chinese companies.
Yes. Range is better than looks
I've been holding out for the new Y, but with the high premium and continued wait time, I will likely go with a Hyundai or Kia since the 3 is too small for me.
Good pricing strategy while they ramp up the new Model Y.
Lfp or not
👍👍
i'll ride as good as a panther tank...
Guys wait until everyone Start receiving deliveries then look in the used market for model 3/Y
You ll buy them for half the price, if not less.
The initial depreciation on this launch series is gonna be steep, absolutely not worth it, and in a couple of years it will get outdated if we get robotaxis.
Here in ireland the launch edition is 66500 euros and that comes without full self-driving.
Need more range 400 miles sorry especially in cold weather I am tired of charging so many times in winter
They look great. Is it possible to get one that has no association with Elon Musk? If so, put me down for two of them.
I think Musk is just a shareholder now. Someone, please correct me.
..if it was for the brilliant vision, bravery, engineering and management skills of Elon Musk, there would be NO Tesla and no where near the level of EV's that are now being introduced worldwide by so many manufacturers including Tesla..
When I'm spending my own money, I want to buy the best product available..I couldn't care a jot on the politics of any CEO..Get a life man, and buy 2 of the best EV's money can buy, if that's what you like..No one else cares..Jeez..the woke mindset is frightening..!
@dr.x4050 dude that is so transparent and lame.
I will get one because of Musk ❤

Nice looking, but the launch version is not worth it. It will drop in depreciation like a rock, just like the launch version of the shit cyber truck did.
Tesla is smart maximize revenue and keep actual cost lower just extra time on software updatel lot. I would not buy until long range rwd comes out but my big question will used model y have a huge price decrease? May consider buying used 2022 model y with in a year

53% more than what I paid for the 2023 MY awd LR.
It seems like a lot and too pricey, 34,300 vs 52,500.
I got a big inventory discount and the EV rebate, you won’t get discounts on the new one but you will get more options.
No FSD included in the price in Europe 😢
They can’t sell model y at that price in US
They have before. Just a 2-3 years ago that car I remember was going for 70k

a lot of new german accounts in comment section I see

Pretty disappointed there was no significant increase in range. We pull a teardrop camper sometimes and that would have made it worthwhile to trade-up from our 2021 Y.
Politics, company, owner aside. I'd say this would make a very good second hand car. Priced as it is it's ridiculously expensive
