Fighting on the planet Vrak5 against the Chaotic Militia. This clearly is a project about the campaign well-known as the Protracted Encirclement of Vrak5.
Therefore in no way a breach of IP regulations, and really, in no way related to any Games Workshop products or lore at all.

Most people don't realise that these boys and girls are all 13-15 year old Soldiers. It's why I love Krieg, Chaos Marines are afraid of a bunch of suicidal fanatical Kids.

Thus why in the Killteam intro fluff it points out that older Death Korps are some of the most terrifying shock troops in the whole Guard.
A million voices could cry out that the Kriegsmen have already earned forgiveness, but it would fall on deaf ears. It did not matter if it was one voice or a million, their forgiveness was not the same as the Emperors. Until the Emperor Himself said that He forgave them, the Kriegsmen would fight in His glory and name.
Knowing them, even if Guileman told them that they were forgiven, it would at most make them tear up and say “Thank you, but until the Emperor himself says so, we will continue on.”

When guardsmen have more zeal and raw determination than space marine chapters! Could you imagine if the krieg war machine got a hold of power armor schematics or even somehow ended up in a space marine chapter? Krieg marines would give the ultramarines a run for their money! This point just give them a forge world an begin a space marine chapter with them and they will rival all but terra in importance. I just want to see the death korps unleashed to it's fullest extent! It would certainly be a sight to behold, but unfortunately their total disregard for their lives in an attempt to seek redemption by dying in battle would cause lots of valuable equipment to be left on the battlefield. Valuable equipment that could and should be given to genetically enhanced, super soldiers with literal centuries of combat experience as their basic training.
And since they're just going to throw themselves at the enemy until they're dead, it's best to just give them enough gear to survive and fight and pick up what you can from the dead.

I get it's probably never gonna happen, but the potential is there, only needs to be grasped and the thought of it is glorious. That an death korps functionality/effectiveness would increase drastically to levels the imperium desperately needs.
To my knowledge the only space marine chapter similar to the kreigers level of determination are the angels of vengeance who believe in a never surrender and never retreat sort of mind set there chapter has nearly gone extinct multiple times because of that fact they lose a hell of a lot of space Marines

they don't have total disregard for their lives or their equipment. they don't care if they die (they are described as haveing *casual* disregard for their lives and see themselves as another kind of ammunition to be spent as necessary but not to be wasted, *some* see death in battle as their *ultimate* goal. none see it as their imidate goal) but they are not desperate to die and they don't totally disregard they wouldn't value sacrifice as heroic like the tradition of honored names says they do. and furthermore they do very mutch do care about their equipment hence quartermasters, who are not just medics, they are not just there to salvage any warmaterial possible, but they also do massive calculations to find the mathematically optimal place and style of attack so as to reduce losses, especially of equipment.
they care so mutch about their equipment infact that according to orpheus war they are the munitorum's darlings, the favourite regiment of the imperium's logisitics, they have the largest number of baneblades of any guard regiment and they got an entirely new super-heavy tank put in production just so the munitorum could give them even more. hell they care more about their equipment than the ultramarines as pointed out in their canon novel interactions with the ultramarines.
they wouldn't make bad power armour troops because they would waste equipment.
they also do not just through themselves at the enemy untill they are dead, both orpheus war and the siege of vraks says their prefured tactic is harasing and raiding the enemy, infiltration, etc especially with artillery but also with infantry. they only mass charge when other options aren't available for a given time schedule. their entire war theory is to kill the enemy faster than the enemy can replace their losses while maintaining easily replaceable losses themselves.
You can see the sheer weight behind each step the Kriegers take. Being honest, that marching towards me would be scarier than the Exterminatus, because you know they're going to make you suffer with no remorse

@@TheMetaxes stand alone series. Dead men walking is the first book. There are some other books about them. I usually only go audible however since no books are on audible yet I went the kindle route.

Im a relatively new fan of the WH40K franchise, but as a US Marine, im absolutely in love with the loyalty, discipline and spartan attitude the Death Corps has. There are other Marine vets that would favor the Mordian Iron Guard, cause theyre motards who like lookin pretty in service/dress uniforms.
What about Cadians and Catachans?
Just to be clear, the Kriegers ar a little less like Spartans, and more like Monty Python's Queen's Own McKamikaze Highland Regiment. Less "we shall fight in the shade" and more "fuck you if you think I can't die for the emperor and take this whole bunker with me"

It's scary that not only does Krieg somehow consistently tithe the most men of any Imperium world, despite being unsalvageable ruined by nuclear war, but they're also some of the best and most reliable Guardsmen ever. Can never get tired of seeing them in action.

@@marcovizzari2126 Specifically they are likely using Vitae wombs, which are artificial birthing chambers. Primarily this allows for large scale production of people especially in the harsh environment of Krieg where human-borne pregancies can be prone to too many variables and fail., I think they possibly even allow gestation to occur faster than normal. Essentailly they've completely industrialized the production of soldiers out of necessity.

I am surprised that marching sounded so perfectly that this is now going to my music tab, amazing work on this!
Damn thats awesome, the weight behind their movements is just a bit lacking, maybe their arms could be moving more or they could have a more exagarated parade march, then their movements would be a better match for the amount of noise theyre making but everything else is amazing, the background matches a typical shithole theyd be fighting on, and the atmosphere matches the gloomy march of dead men going to battle.
I find the way they march to be a bit off in how the arms do not correct independently of the torso to make the lasgun stay directly in front of the body.
Funny thing is they were trained like this so at this point they are flexing

The fact they're not absolutely synchronous, the fact that they're not perfectly in a column.....masterful.
Two points that i spotted though:
During the close up of that one trooper, you realise they have no neck, well an articulated one that is.^^
And furthermore (but this is nitpicking really) no force on march to the battlefield would carry their arms like this for very long. Rifles tend to gain in weight beyond the first 10 kms or so.^^ And also it's hazardous for the trooper next to you (if they weren't Kriegsmen, of course).
Easter Egg: one of the soliders had their canteen unlatched - he will no doubt be severely punished or executed for this.

I love the shaking effect. Like all of them in perfect step that they shake the ground. What a demoralizing addition to their enemies. Nice job!
There exists no greater discipline, loyalty, or devotion to the emperor, than in the Death Corps of Krieg. If a fight can be won, the Krieg will win that fight, even if they must sacrifice something as inconsequential as their lives to achieve that victory.

Is it just me, or would loyalist iron warriors be a perfect attaché force to Death Korps engagements? Even from a lore standpoint, you’d get some really interesting interplay

Marchin into glory and redemption in the pale moonlight, the Death Korps of Kreig makes heretics awake in a terrible fright.
I looked upon them with eyes filled with dread and a cold feeling touching my spine and my soul. Many say they are soldiers but I know better. They are like machines. They are faceless, emotionless, fearless, remorseless beings. They didn't bring death, They were death. All of them shared one face and one goal to exterminate their enemies no matter the cost.

A little preface cause it’s kinda important.
(Essentially the entire world is wrapped up a huge civil war, each nation split into two different ideologies, it ends with every country get turned to stone cause of some experimental bombs (except Switzerland which is a series of radioactive craters and Mexico which was a war zone and biochemical testing ground) there are pockets of not stone areas with people surviving. In the great planes areas there remaining colonies banded together and started a weird coalition. And the colonies behind the rocky’s (Or west of the “Rocky line”) are the antagonists. The ones that were inspired were a branch of their military that basically amount to severe cannon fodder. Constant danger-close operations. Death charges. Sieges and urban warfare to occupy enemy colonies. All of them firm believers in what they do. So that future generations can have the ever-slipping Lebensraum.
Oh yeah and they (not that branch but still the antagonist) have big walking death machines that can be as big as cities cause why not)

The extremely subtle camera shaking with every step is great.
I can only imagine the fear if the enemy force was a human army, they see this marching towards them, completely unfazed by gunfire, artillery and even walking over their comrade's corpses.
I love how every step that is take ever so slightly shakes the camera. Its such a nice touch.

The death korps of Krieg: the epitome of killing you is the mission surviving is just a bonus
God this is so great. Just amazing to see this redone in such quality. I think its missing the best part though: the column marching off into the darkness with the battlefield in the distance. The idea that they were just being fed into the meat grinder, marching right into the darkness that threatened to swallow all Mankind, was really the whole video to me - besides the memes that came out of it, of course.
