I’m from Canada so it’s not nearly as bad here but my cousin and his family got offered a job transfer to the states and it made me sick to my stomach thinking about something happening to their family. Do you think of all the teachers went on strike that there would be something done to change the gun laws?

I think about hurling kids over a fence if I have to. My sis and I have literally talked about how we'd protect kids with our bodies. It's no joke being a teacher.

The tree is a crepe myrtle and they come in beautiful purple, pink, and white. We have planted 1 in our yard for every big milestone our family has achieved. They are my favorite too 🥰 YES they are all over the south!

I also thought maybe jacaranda trees but the buds looked smaller than that to me from what I could see. The bloom season goes quickly, make sure you stare at them every day they’re there if they make you happy 🙂

Here at my house we have several and there's so many bees during their flower prime time :) i don't think your purple tree is a redbud but i thought I'd let you know about the ones in the south :)
