Hi colleen, i've discovered that the fastest and easiest way to peel hard boiled eggs is by cracking the shell gently after boiling and blanching in ice cold water for a few seconds. It helps seperate the membrane and cleans any extra bits of the shell at the same time. You may not see this comment but i just wanna say that I love your videos and I wish your family and your gorgeous kids all the best.
Yes this is so true!! Ive always had the hardest time trying to peel the shell off of hard boiled eggs and that method truly does help.

oh boy.. am I the only one who burst into tears when she told how that 'friend' (like who needs enemies when a person like that is a friend???) made fun of her for setting her cat's collar and a picture of her? I had to pause it cause I can't see well with so many tears. How can a human be so horrible to another human when they're so lil??? Poor Colleen that's so horrible

Is it something you had to talk about and assign each other tasks that you're responsible for or did the roles you fell into come naturally? Also how do you manage taking on more when the other person is having a hard day/week/month?
To expand on Marisa's question:.. Did Erik give up his career so he can stay with the kids for right now ,while you tour? Last acting gig I remember for him was his guest spot on " Lucifer". How do you decide who's turn it is to have/do their career?
@@halahalahala2015 and so she should! Parenting and raising children is incredibly difficult and it’s wonderful that she has such a wonderful support system! A lot of those people probably don’t want to be on camera or in the vlogs, not everyone wants to have their lives on the internet for the world to see and I wouldn’t consider that ‘hiding’. Doesn’t negate the work that they do as parents and the things they personally do for their children!

What has been your favorite part of being a mother and having 3 kids? With the egg thing, it also helps if the eggs are older. FRESH eggs like literally straight out of the chicken don’t tend to peel well. Growing up, my family had chickens, but we still used store eggs for deviled eggs because of this.

after boiling an egg add it to ice-cold water and then open it in the water. Super easy! The water will help get the egg and shell separated.

There are some negative comments on here and I’m sure you see those comments, Colleen. I just want to tell you that whatever these people are saying really doesn’t have anything to do with you. Unfortunately, sometimes people are bored or even worse they are hurting and that hurt spills over on people that do not even deserve it. Keep your chin up and keep being you because it makes so many people smile…including this woman from a small town in Ohio who in so many ways most wouldn’t think would have much in common with you, but you are great at making human connections and that is a rare and amazing quality to have, beautiful lady.

I love that I was taking mental notes about the boiled egg hack even though I am vegan and eat a plant based diet! 😂 Also, I love that Flynn is so fascinated with trucks still and is now learning more about the mechanics and what different parts are called and how they work! Erik and you are doing an incredible job raising your children and embracing and supporting their passions and interests. 🥰 You should look into Montessori school for Flynn because their hands on learning approach seems like one that Flynn would do really well with.

The love we feel for our fur babies is amazing! People that make fun of others for loving their pets so much I don’t understand, and it’s really sad that they don’t. My daughter has a huge love for animals, she loves her cat Bruni so much. I know when he passes it will devastate her. It is a blessing to be able to love these fur babies. I’m so sorry someone did this to you. Love your fur babies. Feel sorry for those who don’t have the capacity in their hearts to feel that love.
Hi Colleen! We had very similar journal entries 😂 over dramatic and sometimes unintelligent. I like to write myself letters every 5-10 years just to see how much I’ve grown. These vlogs are like your journals now ❤
I was also bullied for silly things like that. I remember 6th grade, being bullied because I wanted to play “horses” instead of football with all the guys at recess. I always look back and think about why bullies did that to the kids like us, and I just think it’s how they were raised. It makes me sad to think about their home lives.
