I truly love this channel and the joy these wonderful people have when trying other countries' dishes. You know what they always say, "food brings the family closer together"
My mother was very frugal. She would often visit Eisenberg's fruit warehouse downtown. They only had fruit that was too ripe for supermarkets to sell. So she would buy a huge box of overripe peaches for like $1.09. They were, at that stage, too squishy, but just fine for peach cobbler. We had tons of peach cobbler every summer. later in the year we had two apple trees that often had hundreds of apples. Then we switched to apple cobbler. I still miss those scrumptious desserts.
We were blessed with raspberry, blackberry, mulberry, strawberry, pears, apple, sand plum, and cherry trees/bushes. Never were successful growing peaches well sadly. Ohh man the cobblers, pies, trifles, jams, and jellies we had were amazing. Folks don't know what they're missing with store fruit.
I make peach and blueberry cobbler all of the time and my family loves it! You can make cobblers with so many different fruits, either by themselves or combined! It's an easy recipe to make and always a crowd pleaser! Glad the gents enjoyed it! 💛🕊️🙏

*Mmm...yes, peach cobbler is wonderful on a cold evening. Blueberry cobbler is also wonderful, and very different taste. You can use many kinds of fruit and make it cobbler! Huckleberry cobbler, cherry cobbler, etc. Glad you all liked it!*
We have a peach tree in our yard that grows delicious peaches, the harvest comes thick and fast in late summer and we give a lot away but always make a couple peach pies or cobblers fresh and freeze some more slices for the winter. The sweet-tart and filling feel of peaches combined with cream is one of the most sublime things!
Peach cobbler is incredibly easy to make! Mine is always a hit with get togethers(down here in the southern part of america) And you don't have to use fresh peaches if you dont want to.. You can use canned peaches as well. You simply melt butter in a pan, then you make up a batter which is poured into the pan but not stirred into the butter. And then you simply add your peaches on top. I always do an extra sprinkle of cinnamon on top just in case I don't have enough. It makes itself!
I attended a Tupperware party once, where the hostess took soft batch store-bought cookies, lined a loaf pan with them, filled the interior with pie filling & covered with more cookies. After her party presentation, the cobbler was cooked & we all proceeded to the kitchen for dessert! I happily replicated it in my own kitchen with ease!
👍Wow! That was a lot of peach cobbler. Looks delicious!! Didn't have enough ice cream though. 😁Have you tried banana pudding yet? If not, there is a cooked version and a cold version of it. It's another favorite dessert in the States. It will be on many tables this Thanksgiving. 😋
My dad used to make his famous homemade peach cobbler every year for thanksgiving and Christmas before he passed away. Seeing this video brings so much joy to my heart. So glad y’all enjoyed this desert. Seeing this makes me want to make one soon. I really love this channel.
One of my favorite fall desserts (I’m from Midwest America) is something very similar to this! We call is “apple crisp” and it’s made with apples instead of peaches. The topping is a little different too - we make a “crumble” with oatmeal, sugar, cinnamon, a little flour, and soft butter. We rub it all together until it crumbles into small pieces, and then we put this on top of the apples and bake it. It’s so delicious!! Especially with whipped cream! 😍😍🍎🍏
I miss living in Texas and making fresh picked dewberry cobblers every summer. I make peach cobblers and apricot cobblers too, made a peach cobbler few days ago. Ingredients: 5 to 7 peaches , peeled, seeds removed and sliced (about 4 cups) 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt For the batter: 6 Tablespoons butter 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup granulated sugar 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup milk (I've also substituted the juice from canned peaches for added peach flavor when out of milk) 1 heaping teaspoon ground cinnamon to sprinkle over the top. Mix the sliced peaches, sugar and salt to a saucepan and stir to combine. *(If using canned peaches, skip steps 1 & 2 and follow the directions starting at step 3) (when using canned peaches, use 1 quart jar, undrained.) Cook on medium heat for just a few minutes, until the sugar dissolves and brings out juices from the peaches. Remove from heat and set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Slice up the butter and add to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place in the oven while it preheats, allow the butter to melt. Once melted, remove the baking dish from the oven. In a large bowl mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk, just until combined. Pour the mixture into the pan over the melted butter and smooth it into an even layer. Spoon the peaches and juice (or canned peaches, if using) over the batter. Sprinkle cinnamon generously over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for about 38-40 minutes or until done. Serve warm and Enjoy with a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream ♥
When I was a kid my Mom would make blueberry pie for me, that was my choice, never cake. Cake was generally nasty. lol Now ice cream cake, that's another story.
I always preferred a fruit pie or cobbler (usually cherry) instead of a cake. Icing is just too sugary and cake is usually dry without it. Soda cakes can be good though.
Wow now that's what I call a peach cobbler! I want one too please! Cobblers were a quick version of peach pie, sometimes instead of a crust there was just a flour sugar crumble on top. And there is a peach cake - these gentlemen would love "dump" cake. Just mix a yellow cake mix, add a can of peaches into or on top - its to die for!

The peaches are usually swimming in the peach juice. Just goes to show how dishes with the same name are differently in different areas. I am happy to see they like it.
😂 Just so happens I’m making a peach cobbler while watching this. And it is VERY simple. Cup of flour, Cup of sugar, Cup of milk and a stick of butter. Mr Rana mentioned that it didn't hurt his mouth .. I'm just curious...what happened to his dentures? He seemed to be so happy with them and I've noticed he hasn't been using them for quite awhile.
That doesn't look like traditional Southern peach cobbler from the US. Everyone I know fixes it by melting a stick of butter in a pan, pour over the melted butter a mixture of 1 cup self-rising flour, one cup white sugar and 1 cup milk. Then spoon over a 15oz can of canned peaches with syrup. If use fresh peaches or berries you have to cut them up with a little bit of extra white sugar. Then you bake it at 350° f for 30 to 40 minutes until it is golden brown.
Why doesn't someone tell these people that there are cookbooks available with all of these recipes in any number of them. Whatever they want to make can be found in good southern cookbooks.
