Very nice review. I worked with the fellow that produces these figures. I printed the boxart. He has several different figures in this line.

Thanks for your efforts. This is a great action figure and a wonderful homage to Marx toys.

Wow, this figure is too good! It's a great vintage piece but all the accessories are incredible!

Back in the day you got more for your money. This has to be the most accessories for an action figure.

Wow, so many memories. Nearly 50 years since I first got mine and I never knew its name til now. I had the gray version. After seeing the red one, I'm glad my aunt chose the gray one. I had the horse too. It had armor plates too. I'd choose those over a Playstation anytime

Finding a Legion of these would be a challenge. Getting a vintage Noble Knight is next on my list.

Should be called Sir Ollie, the Orange Knight.
I had "Sir Gordon, the Golden(or just "Gold".Can't remember) Knight"He was my all-time favorite toy. Had the armoured horse, too.

I find this video very interesting. It’s the first time hearing about the toy knights and now I want one. Plus I love the fact that you can fully put the armour on. Just out of curiosity have you ever tried mixing the different colour armour parts to one figure?

Yes. Recently I picked up a Grey Knight and outfitted him with the 2001 reissue blue armor. He looks great.

I’m confused, is this a kitbashed Marx Knight figure, that’s definitely the Sam Cobra head but your description sounds like it’s a brand new figure. If that’s so did they mold it with the same waxy plastic they used in the 60’s? I’ve never seen that type of plastic on anything in my life except those figures. I had some of the Johnny West figures as a kid in the 60’s but my older brother had both the Gold and Silver Knights. Cool video, great find!

The head sculpt looks a lot like the General Custer Johnny West Marx Action Figure, from what I remember. But that was over 40 years ago.

Actually this was the Sam Cobra head. The Custer had longer hair and a younger face.

Many Marx toys where made in America. I wonder if all the silver color versions are foreign made. Thanks for sharing.

so, did someone buy or lease an original mold, doubtlessly from mexico if that's the case? i forget the name of the company that did/does this. basically, they went to mexico and bought tons of toy molds, brought them back and made a business of leasing or selling them.
it's actually not illegal to make new parts from those old molds, either, however you do have to remove the company markings. i'm not sure what other legalities if any are involved, but the theory is that whoever actually owns the mold has the right to produce what that mold makes.
