Great video, I went to 48pitch spur gear, 87 tooth and 14 pinion on my trail finder 2. Made it alot quieter too. You would need a 90 plus to get the gearing your after
Hi Logan. Lovin the video quality & content. Re the motor, I use a 1200kv Axe System with an Element transmission in my comp rig. Super super slow speed control but still has the wheelspeed on 3s. Stock 87t spur and a 23t pinion. Maybe fitting a lower kv axe will give you what you want?
Jec racing makes some leaf spring mounts if you buy them and get the scx10ii (ar44) axles you’ll get some gearing and also better turning radius.... just thought I should throw it out there
Fair play fella! I really enjoy watching you hit these trails, your play ground out there in the US is amazing! 1st started watching you as I also have a Capra and as you well know there is always stuff to learn 😀
The revolver from Holmes hobby they are loud I give you that, but he's got a fix for that. He constructed a ESC in house called Torque master mini...keep that revolver real quiet, specially made just for that purpose
I managed to drop in a TGH Creeper T in my tf2 using the bowhouse skid. Flipped the t-case and fabricated a mount to wrap over the top. Looks like you have the a&m skid, so you could probably bolt it right in with some new holes. It made a night and day difference with the lower gearing and under drive to the rear. Keep up the good work!
Awesome vid my RC brother 💯 you've got me sold on a tf2 now lol I just ordered a 10 3 Gladiator for axialfest and this is definitely next I love the realism of the leaf springs
What lipo are you running in that thing? Trying to work out wether I go a heavy 5000+mah 3s or a lighter 3300mah 3s to keep the weight down. Pairing with a fusion as 1800kv. Nice vids though. Just getting into the tf2’s after years of messing about with small scale stuff.
The help gear down you could do a axle swap to some vanquish axles that way u can gear down in the diffs / and I’ve seen some 3D printed parts out they’re to mount the leaf springs
Fantastic video mate.. great job with the tf2. I think Matt from Scale Builder's Guild has clocked his motor in both his Marlin and C2X and has a video on it, not sure if it gives more spur gear room tho. Cheers 👍
That was my thinking. I don't think it would be to hard to do. It would require a bit of machining of shafts and gears which would be doable with any hobby machines. If I didn't already have 5 other projects on the go I would be tempted to try it.
@@westdesertwheeler awesome job rc brother. Nice to see. I do the same but not quite your skill. . Great work. Keep it up . Big love for the crawl from Australia........ Flex it @#$% yeah
If you try a brush motor again make sure it's from Holmes hobby, Trailmaster sport or Crawlmaster sport...$20 motor best brush motor for your money. And unbelievable drag brake 💯%
You get way better low speed control with the r3 2 speed I can't stand the single speed transmissions gear ratio and you get better weight advantage with the added weight.
I'm not sure about the hobbywing for me personally. I agree that I hate the sounds of those other motors brushless motors which shall not be mentioned.
Damned the first RC4WD Marlin Crawler that can crawl so low like Marlins Czajkowskis 1:1 Truck "super low" ,nice!
GREAT Video, I now want one. Kept the vid's coming. Great commentary, I have learn alot from your commentary/video about how to crawl better. Thanks
This is so awesome! Catching up now, but....More marlin please 🙏🏻❤️🇺🇸
That baby crawls so well for a leaf spring set up. Axe system all the way, great video!

Amazon video I thought I was there. Thank you for sharing.

Great video👍 I subscribed
Either way great footage and closeups. Yeah scale.
Lots of people are putting in the VFD tranny in these with the overdrive gears.
Sweet rig
Awesome vid 👌
Are you still running the leaf springs
Love the vids

Awesome video dude 😍
I wish they would invent a way that we could stake the transfer cases like the real Marlin Crawlers

I’ve been trying to figure this out!
@@jamescox1896 i've been thinking on my next rig to have both a two speed transmission and a two speed transfer case to give me four gear combos.....
i have a hobby holmes magnum 540 in my Goodrich Edtion, very nice
Does rc4wd have over drive under drive available for the diffs i put under drive in both axles on my trx 4 when i put 2.2 tires on
Great camera work today . Still one hand driving. Or do you have a mount on your controler
One handed driving

Great suggestion, I had a Holmes in my gladiator it was a good motor
How much does your rig weigh?
Can u do more videos of the Cabra
Yep! I’ve got two I’m editing now, on really tough terrain

Where is this?

Rc4wd had these for $399 right now.

😁😁👍👍
Ironic how the Marlin Crawler isn't geared down. That's their claim to fame is the ridiculous gear ratios.
Try override!
