Not gonna lie, it seems like Whitecat can basically take every #1 except for some stream maps. There are few players that even come close to his level which is kind of astounding.
For anyone who would be so daring to doubt how much ahead of his time Cookie has been, lemme remind you, that he choked 1000 pp play out of pure nerves. He had everything he needed - aim, stamina, consistancy and speed for Yomi Yori FC. Just nerves slipped a bit. And his scores are hard to snipe up to this day which is somehow insane.

He is literally the only reason why i still play osu after 5 years, granted my skill has changed a lot since then (both good & bad, currently worst) It is sad to see him fall off his throne but it is what he chose. Cookiezi was the god of his time, now Whitecat is the prodigy after him.
Shige will forever be the greatest in the history of Osu! He was so far ahead of his time that even if he was taking breaks before, he would always comeback stronger. Whatever happens he will always be the greatest. P.S. his Freedom dive record is still unbeatable to this day.
Shige was ahead of everyone at his time now because he is unmotivated and he has an injury he can’t compete imagine if he was still in his prime at this time I’d say whitecat and him would be going back and forth competing for #1
i wont be shock if shige cannot beat whitecat even in a single map, since he is getting older, so his reaction time might gradually deteriorate over time and wont be at it’s peak condition anymore. but hey let’s wait for that soldier to comeback, he maybe gonna surprise us
