🤩⚡⚡🤩 *Finally!* The close ups were amazin. I like the shape but it's pretty heavy at 14kg with street wheels. I like the orange wheels but I hear it's not actually a real kegel core. That pulley definately fit the other kegel core wheels like your purple Caguamas? I assumed it was the same length as Zeus until now. I was surprised when Meepo switched from TKP to DKP for this as their pre-production units were TKP. The packagin dor everythin is really nice, very well put together and I love their cell choice. So glad they finally got FOC on the ESC! Great to see your thoughts on the ride feel! I like dropped or micro drop on a deck, surprised the shape doesn't have even more concave. Tire tread is often overlooked by many reviewers, thanks for coverin that! It's kinda insane to me that people ride around over 30mph, I'm happy around 18-20mph 😂 I loved the street wheel portion of the video the most! -12degrees 😱 I wouldn't walk let alone skate 😂 lookin forward to 2022 on your channel!

Great video and really detailed review. I've seen someone online use the Zeus trucks on the hurricane by top mounting the trucks instead of drop though. Drop through is possible by using different angle motor mounts. Would you be interested in trying this hybrid combination?
good review especially with all the graphs and data, but one thing I think that is important to comment on when reviewing boards is the price and the value it has versus other boards or even a DIY board.

Hi,~ Most tires are compatible because most pulleys use the same standard. Evolve's tires and tubes are of course possible to use in Meepo's pneumatic tire hubs. Meepo's Kegel core pulley fits the original Kegel core, but it fits a bit tight.
Hey Kami, I have a hurricane and I find the esc power to be too harsh specially during deceleration. It almost threw me off the board a couple times. I’m planning to go with a VESC esc and was thinking about the focbox unity. Will this be an upgrade in terms of power and more importantly smoothness compared to my stock 70A hurricane esc? Thanks for your help in advance.
I don't think it's going to be an upgrade. With some room in the battery discharge rate of the hurricane, the power may be slightly increased,(within safety limits) but I'm not sure about the smooth operation. Why don't you adjust the braking level on the remote?
Nice review, i wait my hurricane since november but i will mount 120mm cloudwheels on it. Bushings setup is good for you at high speed? No stability problems?
Esk8unity rides 60km/h on his hurricane with one exway 'cnc machined washer' on rear bushing for better stability that doesn't sacrifice maneuverability.

Nice video ... thanks! One question, please ... if you compare a bamboo deck vs a carbon .... which would you prefer. Consider the same hardware and trucks; lets say the hardware of a Hurricane (AT wheels), but have the option of its carbon deck vs a bamboo deck of the Wowgo AT2. I get that the carbon will be more stable, but will be the comfort of the bamboo enough to sacrifice that or otherwise; the carbon might not be that hard since you will be using the AT wheels. I mean, maybe the use of double kingpins introduce some flex to the board. Since you have both you can help me. The thing is .... I'm on the fence for a Hurricane, but don't know if I would like to wait for a bamboo version of it. Right now I have a Evolve GT and wish to continue with the flex of the bamboo deck. Would I feel the carbon too hard?
I like the comfort of the bamboo deck, too. However, I ride a lot of carbon decks these days, and I think there is an advantage of fast responsiveness when controlling the board in addition to durability. If you've already experienced bamboo decks, try carbon decks. Thanks~

Although they are configured in the same 12s battery, the discharge rate of the battery used in the hurricane is much higher, and thus the ESC output power is also high. As far as I know, Hercules has an output of 48 A and Hurricane has an output of 70 A.

get the meepo hurricane evolve remote needs work as it sometimes loses connection. If you must get an evolve highly recommend replacing remote and receiver (I am assuming some things but it would be worth it). Might just be me but evolve stuff generally looks nice.
Simply in terms of output, hurricanes overwhelm Zeus. The discharge rate specifications of the battery and the output power of ESC are about 35% more high. The rest will be the difference between whether or not a double kingpin truck is preferred in the movement of the board. Thanks~

Thank you for watching :) Well... As I like the movement of the double kingpin truck and ride it a lot, So it's hard to say what's better in terms of stability. I think they're both similar to me. The top speed is a part that can change depending on the gear ratio and wheel size, so it is difficult to compare and the acceleration part as a whole felt that the hurricane was good in all aspects. However, I think Zeus may be better suited to Beginner. And Zeus looks more sophisticated in the exterior design. This is only my opinion, so just refer to it. Thanks~

Other people asked me that, too. I checked it out, the Meepo wheel fits well with the original Kegel core, and my "purple Caguama Kelgel core" wheel fits the Meepo's Kegel core a bit tightly.~ Thanks :)
I have a ? 4 you. Do you think it is possible to mount MBS F5 bindings on a MEEPO Hurricane? Any clever way to do this because the carbon fiber top deck covering the battery area is kinda thin
Well, I'm similar to what you think. I don't think it'll be easy to mount because the cover is thin. Even if the binding is installed, it will be a little difficult to withstand a lot of force.
Thank you for watching~ There will be no big difference. This is because the hurricane's ESC already uses almost all discharge rates of batteries. There is little meaning to change to ESC, which can produce a lot of output power without a change in the total discharge rate of the battery.

@@KAMiJUINs the BMS is rated for 100a cont. discharge, and with a 12s4p cell config, u can pull more amps than what the bms is capable of. So changing out for a better esc would make it a even better board. u can also tweat how the board behave exactly, with smart reverse as well. FYI, battery amps and motor amps are totally two different things.
You need your driving license and have to wear a helmet, and the maximum speed cannot exceed 15.5MPH (25km/h) And don't ride on the sidewalk. The law on these things is still incomplete. I understand that it continues to be revised little by little.

My opinion is that it is almost meaningless. To use an ESC that can produce large output, the total discharge rate of the battery must follow it. And, most finished products design ESC according to the maximum discharge rate of installed battery pack, so even if the ESC with larger power could be used, it would be difficult to have high expectations, provided the battery discharge rate is not increased.
HI KAMI , from your video I realize that there is a metal clanking sound from the motor side same as mine, do you have any solution for that ? Is it the sound from the metal bash guard that protects the motors?
I think you heard it wrong. I've never felt a strange sound in the motor before...Wouldn't it sound like that because of the wind noise? And If the magnet inside the motor is damaged, it can make such a sound as you said.
@@KAMiJUINs Ya, after you said that I try to figure out again and try to use finger to knock knock on the motor, one of the motor sounds something loose or empty sound inside, and one of it is solid and thick sound, it should be the one you said that inside the magnet damaged...I'm gonna ask from Meepo again although is still functional but I would not sure how long it will stay, the sounds is getting obvious continuesly.
@@remmusicstudio8470 i have the same problem from day 1. Meepo said bash guard or motor mounts but all screws are tight. Sound is only obvious at low speed or on uneven road surfaces

I think hurricanes fit better with my riding. Carbon Super is also a powerful and good board, but it felt a little difficult to use in race mode, perhaps because of my light weight.
The speed I recorded might have been effected by the wind(It was a windy winter day) or the slightly slope of the road. Don't be too stressed out by the numbers and enjoy your ride ~ Thanks :)

이볼브 뱀부덱이랑 건타입 리모컨이 개인적으로 너무 좋았어서.. 물론 gtr이하 기종은 리모컨 내구성은 너무 별로였지만 이번에 튼튼해졌다고해서 궁금해서요

get the meepo hurricane evolve remote needs work as it sometimes loses connection. If you must get an evolve highly recommend replacing remote and receiver (I am assuming some things but it would be worth it). Might just be me but evolve stuff generally looks nice.

What in your opinion is the better board and why; the Ownboard Zeus or the Meepo Hurricane?
Simply in terms of output, hurricanes overwhelm Zeus. The discharge rate specifications of the battery and the output power of ESC are about 35% more high. The rest will be the difference between whether or not a double kingpin truck is preferred in the movement of the board. Thanks~

Well... As I like the movement of the double kingpin truck and ride it a lot, So it's hard to say what's better in terms of stability. I think they're both similar to me.
The top speed is a part that can change depending on the gear ratio and wheel size, so it is difficult to compare and the acceleration part as a whole felt that the hurricane was good in all aspects. However, I think Zeus may be better suited to Beginner. And Zeus looks more sophisticated in the exterior design.
This is only my opinion, so just refer to it. Thanks~
Thanks for your video. Do you know if the 90 mm Meepo wheel fits on other Kegel pulleys? There is a rumor going around that the Meepo pulley is not quite Kegel.
Other people asked me that, too. I checked it out, the Meepo wheel fits well with the original Kegel core, and my "purple Caguama Kelgel core" wheel fits the Meepo's Kegel core a bit tightly.~ Thanks :)

How comfortable is the ride?
I have a ? 4 you. Do you think it is possible to mount MBS F5 bindings on a MEEPO Hurricane? Any clever way to do this because the carbon fiber top deck covering the battery area is kinda thin
Well, I'm similar to what you think. I don't think it'll be easy to mount because the cover is thin. Even if the binding is installed, it will be a little difficult to withstand a lot of force.

Another great video. I have this board from day one. Would changing the esc to a stormcore 60d or a focbox unity+ make any difference?

There will be no big difference. This is because the hurricane's ESC already uses almost all discharge rates of batteries.
There is little meaning to change to ESC, which can produce a lot of output power without a change in the total discharge rate of the battery.

@@KAMiJUINs the BMS is rated for 100a cont. discharge, and with a 12s4p cell config, u can pull more amps than what the bms is capable of. So changing out for a better esc would make it a even better board. u can also tweat how the board behave exactly, with smart reverse as well. FYI, battery amps and motor amps are totally two different things.

This is the board I want so bad. How strict is South Korea and riding these boards around? I just got here a couple weeks ago
You need your driving license and have to wear a helmet, and the maximum speed cannot exceed 15.5MPH (25km/h) And don't ride on the sidewalk.
The law on these things is still incomplete. I understand that it continues to be revised little by little.

My opinion is that it is almost meaningless.
To use an ESC that can produce large output, the total discharge rate of the battery must follow it.
And, most finished products design ESC according to the maximum discharge rate of installed battery pack, so even if the ESC with larger power could be used, it would be difficult to have high expectations, provided the battery discharge rate is not increased.
How long did it take from you ordering your board for you to receive it?
The product I received wasn't ordered by myself. It was supported.
And I think this took about three weeks!
HI KAMI , from your video I realize that there is a metal clanking sound from the motor side same as mine, do you have any solution for that ? Is it the sound from the metal bash guard that protects the motors?
I think you heard it wrong. I've never felt a strange sound in the motor before...Wouldn't it sound like that because of the wind noise?
And If the magnet inside the motor is damaged, it can make such a sound as you said.
@@KAMiJUINs Ya, after you said that I try to figure out again and try to use finger to knock knock on the motor, one of the motor sounds something loose or empty sound inside, and one of it is solid and thick sound, it should be the one you said that inside the magnet damaged...I'm gonna ask from Meepo again although is still functional but I would not sure how long it will stay, the sounds is getting obvious continuesly.
@@remmusicstudio8470 i have the same problem from day 1. Meepo said bash guard or motor mounts but all screws are tight. Sound is only obvious at low speed or on uneven road surfaces
@@prycemonger Ya...Meepo said that to me too, but that sound just annoying, I saw others posting Ownboard Zues video on facebook group also have this similar sound from it, I'm not sure why but I just wanna know from Kami, whether he faces this kind of issues with other board or not.

일반도로에서 탄다면 문제될 정도는 아니였습니다. (대략 10cm 조금 넘는것같아요)

바퀴가 축에 걸려있으니까 반만 빼셔야죠 - 15cm - 9cm / 2 = 3cm
13 - 3 = 10cm

Do you prefer this over the gts carbon super? Or other way around?
I think hurricanes fit better with my riding. Carbon Super is also a powerful and good board, but it felt a little difficult to use in race mode, perhaps because of my light weight.

My top speed on the pneumatics is only about 29. I weigh 150 lbs. Does anyone know why mine is so low? Were my belts too loose?

Meepo has to send you the updated esc for free because the first batch has a bad esc that didn't reach top speed

The speed I recorded might have been effected by the wind(It was a windy winter day) or the slightly slope of the road.
