Am I crazy, or the violin is not tuned right? Throughout this whole series of videos, the violin sounds good most of the time, but sometimes it just hurts my ears, specially on the high-pitched passages. Either one or more strings are detuned, the violinist is not such a good performer, it was recorded on VHS and it fucked up the recording, or I don't know what... Hard to think any of these could happen, but it really sounds awful quite too often.
No disrespect, but maybe it's not your style? It's neither accurately tuned nor classically performed - nor is supposed to be. There's a tuning issue in every sung note and the enunciation and timing are 'sloppy' at best - but oh my gosh this moves me. Amazing theme.
