A very good way to get forage up quickly is if you bind your turn, sit, stand and walk forward buttons to ALSO forage. You make a custom button. It lets you never be hungry or thirsty either.
I played this when I was 14 and managed to get everything done leading up to needing faydedar. I happened to gather strangers to help with all the group requirements. Was a load of fun! Unfortunately the account was my big brother's at the time, and he ended up closing the account and moving away from EQ. Was so close! Gathering people for the corrupted seahorse was the most memorable.
Wow. As I'm watching this, I can't believe I actually had this back then. I think I got it before PoP came out, but it was so long ago that I can barely remember any of it. I do vaguely remember how horrible the seahorse part was, and the trouble of getting the guild to come help for the Faydedar fight. RIP Tooke Proudfoot.
Quite possibly the best walk through video I’ve ever seen!! Thanks! Also wanted to know my Druid is 58.5 and grows up to now thinking of starting to solo though. Where would you suggest doing 58 to 60?
Wow thanks! Bear Pits in permafrost with a druid charming is probably the best XP in the game. Suits in Wakening Lands is okay but they've mostly turned green by 59. They do drop decent gems/plat loot. Could possibly root rot ogre bar in neriak and velks (frenzy is a good one for a solo druid). But again, bear pits eclipses anything else I know of
Get yourself a Luminescent staff and do Othmir camps, great camp making amazing amounts of plat after selling Crusty armor pieces and junk/gems. Tailors will pay a hefty penny for a stack of Othmir Fur.
So many of these are just insane time wasters. I get you know running around and killing stuff. But having long-spawn rare NPCs that DESPAWN WHEN YOU INTERACT WITH THEM, so only one person at a time can do it, makes me wonder just what the hell the designers were thinking to even remotely think that was a good idea to do. Even in 1999 when MMORPGs were new, the fact anyone thought that was a good idea is laughable.
but when you achieved something...you really did feel good. modern games don't make you feel good or special...everyone else gets the exact same experience. in EQ, you really felt like you did something...well other than wasting time. but there is an old saying "time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time."

100% rarity I guess. Game is designed to make everything incredibly rare, literally can't do them more than once a day
