Dubai did not build that city. All were built by immigrants who have been treated disgracefully - poorly paid, housed way out in the desert in disgraceful conditions - a world away from the opulent apartments they built in town; these are the people who should get the credit and, at least, some of the benefits

Part of their wealth is due to slave and indentured slave workers getting jobs done to create and run the place. I think just because there is money there, it doesn't mean there is compassion and respect for human rights.

They became wealthy certainly not by their intellect, but from oil. There isn’t enough money in the world to pay me to ever set foot in Dubai.

Over developed and overrated as a holiday destination. I prefer a place with history or nature, and not a desert with beautiful buildings advertising their money. There are many more beautiful and interesting places to visit or go to for a holiday.

Well that city is build on slavery and exploitation of immigrants, also being in the middle of nowhere is not a plus has no history except modern vanity items like cars and luxury buildings unfortunately after the second time is not that impressive. There are cities smaller and yet a lot more interesting to see and enjoy. I would not say Dubai is for the richest people either, Maybe for the influencers anyways those who run it enjoy people rather than the city itself if you know what I mean..
