The guy in the video is DPR IAN. He actually also directed, edited and colored the Shopper music video! (Was in the credits haha). He's part of a musical/creative collective called Dream Perfect Regime (DPR). As stated before he's a video director and editor but he also has his own great music with fantastic music videos for em! I definitely recommend checking him out. He's such a wonderful creative and IU and DPR IAN working together was absolutely an unexpected dream come true for me
and under the stage name Rome, he was in the group C-Clown (2012-2015).
IU's latest MV called 'Shh.. (Feat. HYEIN, 조원선 & Special Narr. 패티김)' is CRAZY. The song has some elements from Jazz music.

DPR IAN is not just a director and editor but also an artist himself and he had released an album right before planning for this mv started and had lots of schedules around the world and still even released new music + mv's during the making process of IU's Shopper mv. They still managed to pull through and created such a magical music video for her (which was also crafted by Ian himself, it was all his ideas).
IU stated that she wanted to work with DPR IAN for a looong long time and got constantly rejected because he was on world tour, festivals and released an album including a mini movie during 2022/23 BUT it did finally work out for her and she was so stoked 😊

Some of IU’s best vocal performances are Flower, By the Stream, and Obliviate. Obliviate is so hard to sing live that she only sung it live once and toned it down because its so hard to sing.
