    To clear up any confusion, the notes starting from highest are B A G F E D C. The numbers represent which octave it is, like C2 is the 2nd octave and C1 is the first octave, the lower the octave the lower the note.

    The "Southern Gospel" genre is known for its quartets, and many of them over the years have had some remarkable bass singers. Some of these guys have been singing these notes for decades. Tim Reilly, Ray Dean Reese, etc. It's kind of sad that they don't have a bigger following.

    • @heartsong3149
      @heartsong3149 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They used to. I remember all night singings, quartet conventions and good old camp meetings. High school auditoriums, national guard armories convention centers were packed to overflowing. I hate to see it being replaced by rock bands disguised as "gospel groups".

    So with notes it goes from a C2 to a B1 then A1,G1,F1,E1,D1,C1 then the same thing going into the 0 octave so the order I give it gets lower with those 7 notes

    Octaves transition on the C note not A note. So E1 is lower than A1. The first octave starts at the lowest C1 up to Bb1 before transitioning to the 2nd octave on C2.
