Stan is about to go back to the future on the highway! Had a friend say that he was told to drive new vehicles the way you are gonna drive them. He put 1000 miles on it in two days, doing burnouts, jumping bridges, fishtail braking in front of cops, etc. Those rides were fun. It was an s-10 btw.
Found you after watching 650ib's S1000RR build series. The 1st service always costs the most as they check everything to make sure the seals are still sealed, seated, etc. I was diggin the all black colorway. Grey doesn't look bad either

You really make me want to get a license for a bike and buy my first bike. I am almost exclusively a car guy but Im starting to really romanticize the whole lifestyle around riding a bike.
I just started watching your videos and they're very fun to watch. I am planning on buying my own bike soon. Just can't decide yet on what to get. It's gonna be my first big bike.
I just wanted to let you know that I have a RSV4 with a Urgent Service light and is in limp mode as well as a S1000RR with a fault in the main wiring harness. This year is not my season and I’m starting to hate European😢
I got the 2022 S1000XR and yesterday i hit 700miles. But before going to the dealer, i change oil/filter so no need for 1st maintenance. I told them I dont need maintenance. All I want is rev limit delete. In less than 5mins it was done.

I wanted to ask are those r&g Asymmetrical kit or symmetrical for sliders? and where did you get the carbon flaps & seat cowl from? and also is that the led turn signal bmw emblems? i am looking to get the same fairings from monster but in red and with the RR decals.
How much do you love the bike? Im looking into getting the S1kRR M Pkg and completely modding it out…. Or getting the M1KRR if any are available bc im obsessed.. are you gettin an exhaust and ecu flash on it soon??
Sorry for the late reply! I absolutely love the S1000RR. I mean, if I had the money, then yeah I would have definitely gone for the M1KRR. But this is already more than enough bike for me. And yep, next season will be a full exhaust and tune!
@@STANTHEMOTOMAN honestly everybody I speak to says the S1K modded out is better than the M1k but im only getting an M1k bc its just that… a BMW M edition machine!! Lol

At 4:08 you start the bike and you don't let the system check sequence finish, just like Adam Waheed from Motorcyclist Mag. I just wonder why you don't let the check finish before you actually start it haha Thanks for answering btw
@@puraliferide OHH haha. Didn't really think about it. I always figured if it really wants you to let it finish, it wouldn't let you start it. Also, in terms of starting a bike, it would take sooooo much precious time to wait every single time to start it. Guess it's a habit of mine coming from a bike that doesn't have a splash screen at start up 😂
They made you pay $2.75 for a crush washer..? Theres nothing there about checking torques on nuts and bolts either. You might wanna do that to be honest with you. Seen a few bikes that had calipers or engine mounts loosen up the first few hundred miles. Personally, after seeing this receipt I would definitely just do it myself. On a side note, don't chop the throttle when using the quick shifter. Keep it steady or add more. Its obvious the bike doesn't like that. It might even be deactivating the quick shifter when you chop the throttle and you're just clutchless shifting and banging the trans.
I dunno man, Akrapovics do sound good without the baffle. But if you want to ride legally, where it's required to have the baffle in I really don't think Akrapovic is worth the money..
The other one is WAYYY lighter of a grey. Especially in sunlight, it looks white. This is a true grey that looks consistent in dark or bright lighting. I can see how you might get it mixed up though!
Wtf, love the videos man, but if they charged me that much for a first service i would be outraged. What is that? Almost 80 bucks for oil? And then labor costs? How long did it take? Half a day??? I am in western europe but I really don't understand that.
My local bmw shop charges $175 per HALF hour. Hence why I do all maintenance myself or at least 90% of the job i need done so they don't rape my wallet.
@@deadlyapollo Yeah, I just brought it for the first service. I'll be doing the rest myself. But I am pretty sure I can only get the "service required" messaged removed by the dealership?

@@STANTHEMOTOMAN 1st "full" service would have been $485 but since I changed my own oil, which cut down nearly all the labor time, it ended up being just a hair under $200 USD. Really they just charged me $25 on top of labor to look at the bike and go "YEP them bolts are tight and the wheels, they uh.....uh.....uh move" and remove the limiter.
So they charged you $262 for a 15 min oil change and clearing a code in the software to get full revs? I realize they have gone to school or whatever but I really don't feel its worth $260. I certainly hope they pulled some stuff off and checked transmission gears or something as well. I mean it took what an hour? if so they charged you $262 an hour for an oil change. I've had the same experience with cars but I don't have somewhere to do the work myself so I have to take a car to a mechanic. That being said, I'm glad your bike is in good shape.
Hey, c'mon now. They also checked chain tension and that the flashers were working..... 47mm is within spec for BMW chain slack? Interestingly loose...
Andrew, I talked to my BMW techs as they were working and found out that BMW doesn't pay for them to get trained once they land a job. Its all out of the individuals pocket and training aint cheap. I don't think that's fair to either the technician or the customer as we ultimately end up footing the bill. Hence why labor costs are 2-3X the cost of Japanese bikes.
