Drew Doughty and Jeff Carter... It was truly the LA Kings show much to my delight. As a Canadian Kings fan, this was such a fantastic year of hockey for me. A gold medal for Canada and an LA Kings Stanley Cup with some of the best drama a postseason could have for one team.
Yeah was pretty boring, but that's 2014. Goaltending equipment was too big and we had to win 2- 1 3- 0 games. It wasn't special like 2002 and 2010, but Canada was the best!
The most defensively dominant performance I had ever seen in a playoffs or a tournament. The other team can't score if you just cycle the puck in their zone the whole time. While impressive, it was incredibly boring to watch. Ironically, I actually found 2018 to be more enjoyable to watch with the playing field being more level lol
I noticed that too. This was the first tournament where coaches preached puck possession, speed smarts and amazing defense. Come to think of it, there was hardly any forward offense in that whole tournament and things got a lot clear after the game against USA. This had the tentacles of Claude Julien and Ralph Krueger all over it.

Drew was so good at this tournament
"Drew" lol
The best hockey team to have ever been assembled. It was incredible to watch!
Having score 1:1 vs Latvia for 54 minutes in game is wild 😅
Latvia played such a defensive game. And Gudlevskis played absolutely out of his mind
@LyonHall1 remember when he had cramps from dehydration and they needed to stop play? Lol. He played great. Poor guy was overwhelmed
what a team! We needed this kinda line up for the last IIHF .
"All of Canada is standing" Nah i was trying so hard to stay awake 😅😅😅

Dominated 14’ Olympics then went on to dominate 16’ World Cup, great teams
Holy shazorbeams and doughty eh. They carried the squad lol
The team was nowhere near as good as 2010
It was a lot better, mainly defensively. The 2014 team dominated possession to such an extent that they made games boring.
Canada wins gold only referees help.
Yesterdays news thanks refs haha
