Great question Jason; generally, the trails are well marked, and there is indeed signage to indicate where riders are permitted. We, however, have been stranded when trails have been closed due to unforeseen, mostly weather related, issues.
Many, but not all of the roads are legal, starting roughly in Gorham, NH. There is indeed signage (ATV shared route) on the roads indicating the roads are open to ATV's. If you've never done it before, it's an absolute must. Takes some getting used to, driving an ATV on the road w/out the feeling that you're doing something wrong. Live Free or Die!

Are basically all the roads up there legal to ride on? I’m assuming there’s signage so there’s no confusion.
