Maybe even a 88. 85 will be near Max price for sure. How many do you have btw ?
I think you can store 100 in the transfer list, 50 un assigned, 50 in your watch list. And if you want futher more you need to get a player from either objectives/season rewards/SBC and then you can buy another 100 players until you receive another error message.
