Now there is a jig made by someone who rolled without the top bearings.
And it lifted the shell and the bit dug in.
Quality jig that. 👌

I think I'd have added a stiff tension spring on the other end from the straining screw - you want constant tension, not constant length.
Unless (of course) there is a spring the other end that I can't see!
